Yesterday’s conclusion to the two-part South Park (in which the show’s creators dealt with issues of censorship) was already being talked about before it even aired. But amidst the censorship issues, show creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker decided to take on race relations in America by having Cartman’s hand (supposedly possessed by Mitch Connor) in blackface. Cue outrage?

In the interest of full disclosure, I am inherently biased on this issue: I don’t like Sarah Palin. But I really can’t argue with her on this one. Calling someone a “retard” or “retarded” is not OK. This is where my other bias comes in: I have a 21-year-old Autistic sister.
