Bill O’Reilly turned his attention to Roland Martin‘s suspension from CNN and thought the pundit’s chickens were finally coming home to roost. “This is ironic because Martin himself often brands people as bigots on the air. Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and me, your humble correspondent, among others. He has called organized religion ‘desperately sexist’ and branded tea party leaders as stupid. Karma may have caught up with Martin.”

FOX News Channel’s The Five marked their 2nd highest rated show with viewers 25-54 since launch on 7/11/11 drawing 481,000 and 1.8 million in total viewers. According to Nielsen, The Five – a program nearly six months old beat four networks combined in the demo: CNN, MSNBC, CNBC and HLN. See attached for excel sheet.

The Five’s highest rated show was on 11/8/11, but the show only aired for 21 minutes due to Herman Cain’s PC.

Appearing on Hardball to discuss Mitt Romney‘s new campaign strategy in the wake of being swept in Tuesday’s elections by Rick Santorum, Meet The Press host David Gregory suggested that the former Massachusetts governor has discovered he needs to take drastic measures. “I think what he’s doing now is cautious, tactical play here,” Gregory surmised. “He realizes that he thought he could stay above the fray for a long time, now he realizes he has to rip the guy’s face off here!”

Conservative Christian comedian Brad Stine has been described as “a clean Denis Leary,” which basically means that he YELLS A LOT but only yells words WITHOUT FOUR LETTERS. As such, he was the PERFECT GUY to send CPAC attendees off before the day’s big dinner. To close off HIS SET, he explained that the ONLY THING missing from the conservative movement right now was “the COMEDY FACTOR,” as people like Jon Stewart and Bill Maher were spreading liberal messages far and wide. He told the audience that they needed TO RALLY TOGETHER to spread the truth about the LIBERAL WUSSIFICATION OF AMERICA. Some examples of wussification that Stine attacked were AIR BAGS and CHILDREN’s BIKES THAT AREN’T CLEARLY DESIGNED FOR ONE GENDER OR ANOTHER.

In a surprise announcement Thursday afternoon, the Fox Business Network announced a major makeover of its primetime lineup. The new look slate will feature re-airs of The Willis Report, Cavuto, and Lou Dobbs Tonight, while ending the runs of FreedomWatch with Judge Andrew Napolitano, Power & Money with David Asman, and Follow the Money with Eric Bolling. In addition, the network will be developing a new show featuring Melissa Francis, which will eventually air at 5 p.m., bumping Gerri Willis‘ show to 8 p.m. (Willis will air live at 5 p.m. with re-airs at 8 p.m. until the second quarter).

DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz visited CNN’s Starting Point to address criticism that President Barack Obama has “flip-flopped” on the issue of Super PACs.

A mere minutes after Donald Trump had gone through the many, many ways he thought Rick Santorum was a loser on Fox News, over at MSNBC, he found himself on the receiving end of the same. It is no big secret that Lawrence O’Donnell isn’t a huge fan of Trump, but what may be news delivered by O’Donnell is his belief that Mitt Romney, Trump’s candidate in the Republican primary, thinks Trump is “a buffoon, and unconfirmable joke, America’s biggest loser.”

The day after Rick Santorum acquired his most impressive wins of the Republican primary so far, we finally got to see what it would mean for Mitt Romney to have Donald Trump as his surrogate. The Donald sat down with Greta Van Susteren to react to, among other things, Santorum’s three-for-three win last night in Colorado, Missouri, and Minnesota, and was profoundly unimpressed, repeating several times that Santorum lost his Senate seat “by a record number” and suggesting he pursue a career as a lawyer, instead.

Ed Schultz began something of a feud with Sean Hannity, again, yesterday as the Fox News host had commented that he believed that Osama bin Laden would still be alive and kicking had President Obama “gotten his way.” Naturally, these comments incensed Schultz and led him to a discussion with Hannity over Twitter which resulted in Schultz challenging Hannity to produce any evidence that supported him.

With the Catholic Church up on arms over the proposed mandate to hospitals regarding contraception, Bill O’Reilly spent a second tonight parsing out the problems the Church has with the policy. To discuss the current disagreements between the Obama administration and the Catholic Church, O’Reilly set up a full-clergy panel with Fox News’ Father Jonathan Morris and Executive Director of the Religious Institute Debra Haffner that began in a friendly tone, but ended with Rev. Haffner calling for the Catholic Church to “deal with its own sexuality problems,” which led to O’Reilly calling her “way off base.”

Earlier today the news broke that CNN contributor Roland Martin will not be appearing on the network indefinitely for what GLAAD perceived to be a homophobic tweet. Despite his personal ideological bent, the reaction from the conservative media was a swift defense of the longtime CNN pundit. But the conservative reaction to Martin’s suspension is no surprise because the conservative movement has long abandoned the left/right divide for a new war front: that between individuals and the media elite.
