Oh, the things chefs do for their art. Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli stopped by Chelsea Lately last night to plug her new book Old School Comfort Food: The Way I Learned To Cook, and dropped the recipe for Butter’s infamous butternut squash soup topped with popcorn, for which we are eternally grateful.
The segment ends with Guarnaschelli having to take a bite of the guest host’s grandmother’s “famous” potato, sour cream, and cheese concoction topped with a crushed-up Corn Flake crust. Attn. grandmas: crushed up Corn Flakes are for battering fried green tomatoes and nothing else.
