At this point in its life cycle, there is only one way in the world that most people will end up dancing Gangnam Style, as popularized by the Korean rapper PSY, and that is if they were hammered on vodka. Oh, look at that — a Russian company wants to accomplish this goal.
Yes, Woobo, International registered the famous phrase “Oppa Gangnam Style” in the US as a trademark for a line of vodka they plan to market State-side. But not only are they planning on marketing vodka, according to the Huffington Post, they also filed for use of the phrase to market “action figures” and “vegetable-based snack foods.” Vodka, action figures, and potato chips: Gangnam Style. Uh, that still makes no sense.
Even more, they plan on marketing their vodka in Russia with the “Gangnam Style” trademark. Judging on past cases, PSY and his representatives YG Entertainment are unlikely to sue, but this gives rise to a fantastic joke:
In Korea, people dance Gangnam Style after drinking vodka.
In Soviet Russia, Gangnam Style vodka dances YOU!
