Eater: Houston is getting a hipster makeover with the opening of Brooklyn Athletic Club, a Brooklyn-themed restaurant, with bocce-ball, horseshoes, volleyball, and badminton out back. Our gut predictions: this restaurant will be more annoying than Girls, and less annoying than Williamsburg.
Huffington Post: We were expecting this Pakistani fishmonger’s viral “One Pound Fish” marketing jingle to be terrible and awkward, but it’s actually pretty Bollywood chic and catchy! We’re impressed.
Nowness: Nowness cornered Craig Thornton, Magnus Nilsson, and Yotam Ottolenghi, and forced them to admit what foods they were most excited about as The Ingredients Of Tomorrow. Magnus went with barley, since Faviken is planning to brew their own beer this year; Craig was all about Suriname cherries; and Yotam rediscovered floral notes and mysterious chillies on a recent trip to The Mediterranean.
