So That Julia Child Comic Book is Now An App, Should We Feel Weird About It?

Welp, if she’s a bad ass in comic form, we guess she can be a bad ass on our iPhones … we guess.

The Julia Child comic book that came out about 1 1/2 years ago, Female Force: Julia Child, is now an interactive app, according to a press release snatched up by Mediabistro. From the press release:

Julia Child fans can now engage and interact with the story. Click on “audio hotspots” to hear sound effects play and swipe to navigate through Child’s journey toward being a chef. Authorly apps include features such as narration, word-by-word highlighted text, audio and video hotspots, basic animation and movements, sound effects and background music, and more!

Or, you know, go rent Julie & Julia. Nevertheless, we’d rather read an interactive comic book about Child than some of the other planned “Female Force” comic books (“Upcoming titles in the animated interactive partnership include: Fame Katy Perry, Female Force: Julia Child, Fame: One Direction and fiction title Dorian Gray,” says the release).
