You might be aware that Padma Lakshmi gained notoriety as a model when she became a favorite subject of photographer Helmut Newton, who often highlighted the scar on her right arm in his photographs. If not, that’s okay: in partnership with Funny Or Die, Padma wants to bring the joy of that inner (and outer) beauty to women across America with her new clothing line, “Padma By Padma.” We have to say, we know that she’s sold jewelry on the Home Shopping Network, but never before have we seen scar accessories. That’s innovation, and we declare Padma the new, super creepy Coco Chanel.
