Alabama Ag Commissioner Candidate Dale Peterson Returns With Rifle Firing Campaign Ad

It’s probably safe to say that no other candidate to run for Alabama Ag Commissioner has ever made as big a cultural impact than Dale Peterson. You may remember him from his first campaign ad that in which he “told it like it is” that went viral last month, and took him from 5% to 28% of the vote. Alas, in a three-way race Peterson failed to make it the run-off. But good news! He’s back with another political campaign ad in support of his fellow candidate John McMillan (who is alleged to “gives a rip about Alabama.”)

There is a lot to enjoy in this clip below (especially the cinematography – its honestly shot beautifully.) I suggest watching it over and over again. (Note to commenters – thanks for correcting their earlier error in identifying Peterson’s weapon.)

At the risk of sounding like a weapons geek (does that exist?)…

Check your headline. Peterson is brandishing a rifle, not a shotgun. Every time a journalist confuses the two they send the message that they are 1) ignorant, 2) sloppy, or 3) just another elite lib’rul out of touch with “real Americans.”

Get the details right if you want to reach everyone.

I thought Dale’s last ad was the best ad ever, but he’s outdone himself this time. There are no words to describe how great that ad is.
