Alec Baldwin Rejoins Twitter After Short Hiatus Following Airplane Incident

Controversial Wegmans pitchman and 30 Rock star Alec Baldwin has rejoined Twitter after deactivating his account following last month’s incident on an American Airlines flight, where he was ejected from the plane after playing Words With Friends against the wishes of the crew.

Baldwin first commented on his ejection through the social network, saying “Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing WORDS W FRIENDS while we sat at the gate, not moving. #nowonderamericaairisbankrupt” and “#theresalwaysunited Last flight w American. Where retired Catholic school gym teachers from the 1950′s find jobs as flight attendants.”

Following these tweets, Baldwin deactivated his account, and his PR company said he was going to focus on 30 Rock for the time being.

Baldwin fans can now rejoice, as he’s back, wishing his Twitter fans a “Happy New Year” and saying it was his last night in Paradiso with his yoga-instructor girlfriend.

Once, I made comments on one of Baldwin’s pseudo-liberal rants, which I believe was on Huffpo, and the comments weren’t allowed to post, on the blog. To paraphrase my comments, I asked, why do you overpaid, usually, unproductive members of society, take a chance on cutting your ticket sales, by becoming political activists? Then, I went on to comment that if I were fortunate enough to be one of the overpaid unproductive members of society, in the entertainment industry, that I’d keep my loud mouth shut, at least until I had retired. I mean, why bite the hands that feed your overpaid lazy butts? To this day, I still don’t understand why my comments were blocked from Baldwin’s blog. LOL.

Maybe you don’t understand what “productive” means. He creates a product and people buy it. I, for one, love that show 30 Rock, and I take pride in the fact that a man with such talent is a liberal. What makes you think it diminishes his ticket sales? Do you think Chuck Norris’s politics diminish his? Or Sela Ward’s? Or Kelsey Grammer’s?
