Hot Air’s Ed Morrissey Responds To Olbermann: Where Are The People of Color?

video

On Wednesday night’s Countdown, Keith Olbermann called out several conservative blogs for responding to his Special Comment about the Tea Party’s lack of diversity (without addressing similar charges leveled at his own network).

One of the blogs he called out was Hot Air, so I thought I would give Ed Morrissey the chance to respond to Olbermann. (Video below.)

First, here’s Olbermann responding to a Hot Air blog that was only tangentially related to Olbermann’s Special Comment:

And here’s Ed’s response:

    Ed,
Keith isn’t that important to anyone. That’s why he’s no angry.

  • The Real Royal King

I think you meant “not” angry, Michelle F.

    TC?
    Great job!!

Tommy: If you go to instapundit and scroll half way down you will find a video response to Olbermann that depicts numerous “people of color” speaking at various tea party events. The other good video of course, is the response to Olbermann depicting all the premier white faces of employees of NBC/MSNBC surrounding Olbermann criticizing the tea parties for not having any “people of color”.

I especially liked Ed’s comment that Keith is just not important to him. So true, Keith is not that important to very many people, see his shrinking audience as evidence.

Thanks TRRK, sometimes my fingers are faster than my brain!

K i really need to stop multi-tasking! You almost got me TRRK. I meant SO, of course!

With most lefties, such as Keith, Bill Maher, et al, their experience with blacks is pretty much limited to watching Cosby reruns. (Or in Maher’s case, driving into the inner city to pick up hookers) Their experience with Hispanics comes from an occasional visit to a Mexican restaurant. Yet from their all white neighborhoods (Maher recently bought a new pad in Beverly Hills) they sit on high, lecturing the unwashed masses on their lack of enlightenment. Remember a few years back when famous lefties Barbara Streisand and Stephen Speilberg were pitching a fit because it was being debated on whether an extra section of Malibu beach would be designated for the public? They were horrified the unwashed might get in too close a proximity to their digs. It seems the far left just loves everyone, as long as they don’t have to associate with them.

I rewound the video several times but still couldn’t catch the phrase that Ed Morrissisy said right before “I said that just for you, Tommy”.

    Anybody catch it?

    Thanks.

I wrote two comments back to back.

The first one is labeled Awaiting moderation and the second is not.

Did I get on a “bad girls” or “bad old ladies” list?

    Writer…
Its called rich guilt! They feel they need to look good to the public and they feel guilty for making alot of money by being a modern day jester to entertain the masses.
A true good person would give his money away or help where needed but does not need the limelight to show it off or tell people “look at me, I gave to the Haiti Fund …everyone, I like Black People”,” I like diversity” like the majority of these dumb ass celebrities.

Probably not. Did you have more than one link in it? That usually does it.

  • Grammie

    Thank you, Blue, that’s it.

I simply provided the links to the Ed Morrissey video and OlbyWatch MSNBC people of color.

    Rofl! Funny cause it’s true.

That video was good to see but why does it still look like there are just a few tokens out there. But good for them. At least it proves that not ALL the minorites are in the Obama camp.

  • Olby Sucks

michelle, the faux royal king knew exactly whay you meant just as I knew what you meant. That’s how she sneaks her little back handed defenses of olby in. Make no mistake, he’s angry…..

    Grammie,

Ed’s comment before the “I said that just for you, Tommy”. – I think you are referring to the “kobiyashi maru” comment that Ed said? If so, “Kobiyashi Maru” comment is from one of the Star Trek movies with Spock and Kirk. In the movie, the Kobiyashi Maru is a ship that is stuck in space. It is going to explode but is in enemy (or disputed) territory. The enemy is also right there. If the Starfleet captain enters the territory, he risks getting destroyed. If he does nothing, he risks letting the trapped ship explode. So it’s a lose-lose situation.

…actually a clever reference to make…albeit very dorky.

    …but i’m a dork for knowing.

  • Grammie

But hey, cryptblade, I like dorks mainly b/c they are usually very nice!

Thanks for letting me know. I’ve probably seen every Star Trek TV show 100 times but not the movies so much.

Actually, hit9 and “writer,” everyone in Los Angeles knows that Bill has more black friends than white friends and he knows what the fuck he is talking about. His best friend is Christopher “Kid” Reid, a former rapper who did the theme song for “Real Time with Bill Maher.” He almost exclusively dates women of African American descent.

He constantly invites African American comedians, members of the House, writers and professors on his show, which is more than you can say for most political shows on other networks such as MSNBC and Fox.

But sure, Bill Maher’s experience with blacks is limited to “watching Crosby reruns.” Just because he chooses to live in Beverly Hills means squat. I live in LA and can tell you that plenty of Africa Americans live in Beverly Hills, along with rich persians and Asians. It’s not just “white” people who live in Beverly Hills and your antiquated views just prove how truly racist you are.

You cons are really fucking assholes who really have no idea what you are talking about. Seriously.

Gosh, shoot. For a sensitive left winger who loves everyone, you’re getting a bit bent out of shape. I thought it was only us righties who were intolerant when hearing different opinions. But since the left so loves to play the race card, I’ll be glad to play along. It’s not so much that Maher or other lefties don’t ‘know’ black people. It’s that they give them special treatment. For example, I think even you would agree that Obama was a major player in Chicago politics. Jesse Jackson was a big Obama supporter in Chicago. (Now stay with me, shoot) Jesse Jackson was also best friends with Jeff Fort, the leader of the El Rukn gang. El Rukn controlled extortion, prostitution, and other criminal activities in a large part of Chicago. Jeff helped Jesse intimidate businesses into making ‘contributions’ to Jesse’s Rainbow Coalition. Jeff Fort also had suspected ties to Libya and was planning acts of domestic terrorism. (Still with me, shoot?) Now, when Maher or any other left winger has Jesse Jackson as a guest, isn’t it odd that they never bring this up? I mean, it’s not even a little bit interesting? You far lefties are the real racists. You’ll gladly point out any wrongdoing as long as the wrong doer is white. But if they’re black, even a violent criminal like Jeff Fort gets a pass. His ties to Jesse Jackson don’t fit in with the left’s view that only whites can be evil.

  • writer

Plus, shoot, isn’t the left always telling us that blacks such as Clarence Thomas and Michael Steele aren’t “real” blacks? I know there are blacks in Beverly Hills. I just didn’t think you’d consider them “real” ones.
