We think the key is that Ford should find itself defaults and analyse them and try to make new effective strategy to pass the recession. " Customers are the first!" business directory |jobs|walk in tubs

NOW the Union & it's membership want to bargain, when the company's on it's deathbed. Too bad they didn't offer changes a few decades ago before Ford became overbloated & unable to compete w foreign competitors.
Unions have caused thousands of Canadians to become dependent on them. Many who are "Unionized" are afraid to make a change, or go in a different direction, as if life without the union 'protecting' them would be cold & mean. When times are slow, my inlaw is afraid to take side jobs because he was punished by his union 20 yrs ago & lost seniority. Now he sits at home for 6 mths of the year on unemployment costing me & other Canadians tax $ instead of working. Thanks for the 'protection' and driving our employers OUT OF BUSINESS.

FoMoCo is what free enterprise is. Now watch the government try to punish them. Everything the government messes with fails because of big government corruption and incompetence.

I sincerely hope Ford continues to prosper! I just hope the UAW doesn't push them into the abyss like they did with GM & Chrysler.

We would like to take full responsibility for Ford's profitability. Clearly, it was the Plaid Nation tour that pushed everything into the black. Scott Monty helped a bit, but mostly, it was just us.

Plaid Nation 2011, here we come!

Thanks for the positive thoughts, Rachel. In our case, this is a result of a lot of factors at work - our transformation plan, enacted by Alan Mulally nearly 3 years ago, underlies everything that we do. Our improvement in quality, our commitment to best-in-class fuel economy, and our advances in in-car connectivity and other technology are all coalescing in the truly great products that we're producing.

When you add to that the spotlight that Ford as been given over the past year and the rise of social media, not to mention our authentic new Drive One ads, it's all worked together to our advantage. We can't really narrow it to any single factor. Although, instances like this make me smile: http://twitter.com/chrislovett/status/2447735364

And speaking of buying a car, you should spend some time discovering <a href="http://blog.actslike.com/2009/08/10/the-art-of-leadership-a-ford-story/"what happened to Marc Girolimetti.

Much of what we do with social media is toward the top end of the sales funnel - creating awareness, changing perceptions, influencing others. It's more akin to PR than marketing in goals. But that doesn't mean we can't point out some examples of success as we did above. :-)
