    I see logic isn’t MacNicol’s strong suit.

UGH – that guy is a tool. He was such a tool I think he forced Glynnis into defending FOX stronger then she would have liked.

FWIW Glynnis – I think you did a great job in keeping to the point. This guy is full of it. He likes to point out FOX lied, but provides no examples. He wants to say no one at the station are real news people – Hmmm Major, Shep, Chris Wallace, Jon Scott, Bret Baier, Brit Hume… there are lots of great newscasters on FOX.

He called them actors? What about Contessa Brewer from msnbc who can’t even think for herself, but confuses Sharpton and Jackson, and edits videos to hide a black guy, to make a racist point?

His arguments were SO ridiculous when you look at any other cable channel, or even news network. He questions FOX for covering ACORN, meanwhile CNN covers the Michael Jackson look a like in the new film? He was so wrong on ACORN, and every other point.

MSNBC, CNN, ABC, etc. are exactly like FOX, only they lean left instead of right. To try to argue FOX isn’t real news, or are irrelevant, or liars, or slanted, or whatever is simply moronic. The only reason people are hating them is because they are picking on Obama. JUST LIKE all the others did for the last 7 years.

What was his beef with FOX calling Bush won the election in 2000? Last I checked, he did. (not that I was happy about it).

You were quite correct in your statement that it is up to the other stations on whether to follow suit or not. They tried to NOT and missed some real stories (Van Jones, ACORN, etc.) and that is exactly why the WH is trying to marginalize them – FOX is the only station that will go after those stories, and they want to shame and mock the other stations into not picking them up. It is total bullsh*t.

He came across as a far left wacko, keith olbermann wanna be, spewing liberal talking points.
Nice job Glynnis. (and you were so right about what the media would be doing if this were a Repub pres with liberal media)

sarainitaly, I’m willing to bet that it is uninformed people like yourself who keep FOX at the top of the ratings.

One example: FOX continually lies about ACORN saying they have committed voter fraud – even though they have never been charged, let alone convicted, of ANY voter fraud. That doesn’t stop the FOX noise machine from repeating the lies, though.

Van Jones DID NOTHING WRONG – the ultra right moonbats simply wanted to kick at Obama. And yet they STILL champion Scooter Libby, convicted liar and felon. They STILL give airtime to the traitor Ollie North. They STILL back and support various teabagger events.

Oh, and you need to check again. Bush dod not “win” in 2000. The presidency was handed to him on a silver platter by the SCotUS when they should have sent the case back to be determined by Florida’s Supreme Court.

I will give you Shep as a good news guy – why or how he can remain at FOX is an ongoing mystery to me. He appears to have integrity, something that is obviously NOT a job requirement for FOX. Adding Brit Hume and Chris Wallace – two of the biggest liars given a public form as “newscasters” – shows a lack of inquisitiveness on your part. Otherwise, you would KNOW how often their reporting comes to them directly from the RNC Talking Points division. Hume, especially, exemplifies a “newscaster” giving his opinion as though THAT was the story.

Those of us who hate FOX don’t hate them because they picl on Obama. We hated them long before Obama hit the national political stage. We hate them because they are LIARS. We hate them because they spread HATE. And we WOULDN’T hate them if they advertised themselves for what they really are and do – Conservative asshats who blindly follow their Republican masters lead.

One thing I am curious about: Why did you bring Brewer into the discussion? WTF does she have to do with the way FOX presents itself? How about sticking to the point?

Oh, and while I don’t agree with Cenk on every little thing (he has an affection for Poppy Bush and Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates that I simply do not understand), he is certainly well informed – obviously more so that yourself or you would know better than to say “This guy is full of it.” He gives examples of FOX lies on an almost daily basis – maybe you should try watching more often so YOU can be as well informed. He’s on Monday through Friday, 4-6 pm Pacific Time at http://www.theyoungturks.com/

If you think FOX is any different that msnbc or cnn or any other news program, you are deluding yourself. As a former msnbc viewer, who used to just believe the lies about FOX, I now know the truth.

ACORN has been charged with voter registration fraud. Van Jones is a 9/11 truther. If he did nothing wrong, why did the white house write his resignation letter for him, and throw him under the bus?
Every recount left Bush leading Gore. I watched the events unfold, glued to my tv. i remember it all. FOX was the first to call FL for Bush after it had already been called, and recalled. The Turks blaming FOX for the events of that night was stupid, IMHO. Every network rushes to call winners every election. It wasn’t FOX’s fault, especially when networks had already called FL for Bush hours earlier (like msnbc).

    Brit and Chris are liars?

You think that Olby, Shultz, Matthews, Maddow, or any other msnbc (sans Joe Sco) or cnn or abc, cbs, nbc, on air liberal doesn’t follow their Obama talking points? For god’s sake, they hold morning conference calls with the liberal media! Chris Tingles Matthews thinks it is his JOB to help Obama succeed,

I brought in Contessa because the Turks guy called FOX anchors actors, and I provided an example of another network on air personality *acting*.

Fox supports teabagger events? I wasn’t aware that FOX supported events where men drop their balls into other men, or women’s, mouths for sexual pleasure.

Spreading hate? PLEASE. What the hell do you think is coming from the other channels? There is plenty of hate coming from msnbc and liberals – Matthews talking about Rush getting murdered, Olby talking about Hillary getting beaten in a room, Ed Shultz – where should I start?. Alan Grayson calling Linda Robertson, a “K Street whore”, Mike Malloy saying I Hope Glenn Beck Commits Suicide Live On The Air, Olby calling Bush a facist, pathological liar, arsonists burning down Palins church, Sullivan’s and Lettermans attacks on The Palin Family, or saying she has a slutty flight attendant look, or doubting whether she gave birth to her child, or saying her only qualification was that she didn’t have an abortion, or the t-shirts calling her a c*nt. Janeane Garofalo calling protesters straight up racist, rednecked teabaggers , Matthews saying Hillary only got where she is because her husband screwed around, Shuster saying Chelsea was being pimped out, Maddow and Cooper joining in on the “teabagging attacks”, cnn and msnbc spreading lies about quotes Rush never said about slavery and JFK’s assassin, Randi Rhodes calling Hillary a “Big F*cking Whore”, Grayson and Shultz screaming Republicans want to see people die, that Cheney wants to see people die, denying he ever saw a Bush = Hitler sign. Schultz calling Rush a drug ridden fat pig, or saying that Conservatives want Obama shot, or calling McCain a warmonger, Olbermann accusing Michelle Malkin of possessing “fascistic hatred,” and comparing her to a “mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick on it. Olbermann said that Rush Limbaugh’s observation that Glenn Beck was the result of his success “is like congratulating yourself for spreading syphyllis. How about the crap Olby and his buddy Michael Musto spewed about Carrie Prejean? Karen Hunter on msnbc “I can just see the visions of plantation grandeur dancing in [Limbaugh's] head as we speak.” or TOURÉ: “Several NFL players have already said they would not play for Rush because they know he would love to say he owns a plantation full of black men.” Oh gawd, and Lawrence O’Donnell with his hateful rants, and psychotic interviews! And lies? Norah Odonnel saying that Palin called Obama a terrorist – which she never did. Contessa Brewer denying a left wing bias, meanwhile edits video of a black guy with a gun, and reports that a white guy showed up with a gun.

    I could go on….

  • sarainitaly sarainitaly says:

Oh, I don’t know how I could forget all the charges of racism coming from the left, against ANYONE who opposes Obama.

Or who could forget about all of these, or these or <a href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3548/3797554081_21d8fb09a7_b.jpg"these images. (I include Hillary because most of those attacks came from Obama supporters.)

But, hey – you just keep believing the Right/FOX are all things evil.

Obama’s National Security Chief Of Staff Goes ‘Nucular’

    video

After years of the cringe-worthy pronunciation of nu-cu-lar during the Bush White House, it seemed like we finally had an administration who had a litmus test in staffing their National Security detail - pronounce the word "nuclear." Not so. During an interview to discuss Iran's weapons program with MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell today, National Security Chief of Staff Denis McDonough definitely uttered the term Nucular. Gotcha! Right-wing critics eager for payback? Go! Video after the jump.
