Interactive Agency R/GA To Start Layoffs
AgencySpy.com reports today that interactive agency R/GA is expected to begin layoffs in their New York offices today. Given their deteriorating reputation in the digital agency space, combined with a pretty bleak economic outlook, it makes sense that a bloated company at R/GA would cut staff.
One wonders, however, can R/GA can even survive?
AgencySpy reports:
Always the bearer of bad news, it is with laden fingers we report there may be layoffs at R/GA’s New York office today. We’ve heard folks there have been preparing all week, tossing out unnecessary wares.
From what we’ve heard, which has not been confirmed by the agency, some 35 staffers are facing job loss. Rumor has it, producers are the most worried.
Updated: So far we’ve heard a number of senior people were let go, and 7 from tech.
