Jeb: We Should Have Telemundo Debate, Shouldn’t Punish Them for CNBC Debacle

jebOne of the unintended consequences of the RNC pulling the plug on NBC News’ upcoming GOP debate due to CNBC’s critically-panned one is that it happened to be the one Telemundo was co-sponsoring.

Yes, the Spanish-language channel was a partner in the debate and the debate would have aired on Telemundo too.

But since that debate has been called off, the question of having a GOP debate with any Hispanic media participation is still in the air.

Jeb Bush today called for the GOP to work something out and have such a debate. According to The Miami Herald, Bush said in Orlando today, “We should have the debate.”

“I think we ought to have a Telemundo debate, or a Hispanic debate,” he said. “It happened four years ago. Telemundo’s not part of the problem of CNBC. They just didn’t keep their word.”
