Joe Scarborough And Mika Brzezinski To Return To Radio… On Saturdays?

Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski have been off WABC for nearly four months, but it was always billed as a “hiatus” to “revamp and expand” the show.

In the wake of Scarborough tweeting that his show would be back “soon,” one report says the show will return as a weekend program.

Last night Scarborough tweeted, “We are going to be on WABC radio airwaves soon. Mika and I are very excited! More details to come.”

NTS MediaOnline, which covers talk radio, reports today, “station President/GM Steve Borneman confirms that the Citadel News/Talker is ‘in development of a Saturday show with Joe and Mika.’ No date has yet been set for any launch of the still developing project.”

A Saturday show doesn’t sound like it would be a “revamp and expand” from their previous weekday 10am-NoonET show. We’ve reached out to WABC for comment or confirmation.

Mika needs to get her job on barry’s staff and end the charade.

Ignore WABC’s statements when Joe’s show got taken off the air. They’re meaningless at this point. It’s worth maybe one or two rounds of tossing back in their face but other than that it holds little value. Remember FNC put Studio B weekens on hiatus a couple of years ago and it wasn’t canceled. Neither was John Gibson’s TV show. Of course that’s all BS but that’s my point. When networks yank programs they rarely speak the absolute truth.

Weekend show? who listens to talk radio on the weekends? It’s nothing but Best of shows and infomercials.

They could do a car repair / gardening show . Tina Brown could come on and talk about tuning up her ’67 Dodge . Eugene Robinson could explain how to apply fertilizer . Stuff like that .

Sat. radio? LOL. That is the graveyard of talk radio. On second thought that makes sense for the two dead men walking.

Unless you’re a right wing pundit preaching to the choir on AM, terrestrial radio is slim pickings. In the age of digital content (namely podcasts for this type of content), I’m not interested in either. My car radio hasn’t changed form the iPod AUX connection since I purchased it two years ago.

So you’re suggesting Eugene Robinson, a Pulitzer Prize winning African American columnist, is only good for telling us how to apply fertilizer? OMG you are a racist!!1!

(Um, sorry, I just finished watching Chris Matthews and haven’t shaken it off yet.)

I wish Lawrence O’Donnell was the host of Morning Joe, we could call it “Morning O.” I would rather wake up to his opinions than Joe Scarborough’s. Plus JOe and Mike have a strange relationship, and it weirds me out.
