I worked for nearly eight years as a newspaper reporter and believe I can distinguish fact from opinion, which Mr. Woodward cannot. Mr. Woodward claimed that the book “has all the characteristics of a pre-campaign manifesto, the requisite autobiography of the future candidate.”

It is far more reasonable to opine that the book has the characteristics of what someone would write who knew that the AP and others in the leftist news media ignored Ms. Palin’s record as governor, choosing instead to focus on claims of her political enemies, on whatever gossip they could unearth on her family, and whatever AP staffers thought would hurt her with the reading public. So she wanted to correct the record and to clarify to the American public who she is. She also needed income in part to pay for large legal defense bills, owing to nasty lawsuits the left tossed at her, which her family’s small financial resources could not meet. Thus the book. Those are my opinions, which appear sounder than the sneering opinions Mr. Woodward and his editors falsely paraded as facts.

Come now John…this is a far cry from the Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse stuff you been reading but to state that the Palin book is the best political book of all times demonstrates your bias and puts you in league with the crazies like Rush, Beck, and the ever lovable ‘Throes of Insurgency’…It will take me 2 days to stop lmao.

Really, the best defense for a crummy interview of Sarah Palin is two words… “Joe Biden.” Why is he a-okay, even though he’s been chomping on his foot for years and years… but Palin is way worse?

It was really hard! I listened to the words coming out of her mouth and determined, all by my lonesome without MSNBC or Fox input, that she was wholly unqualified for the job – along with the other 70% of Americans who agree with my analysis.

The fact you’re in the other 30% isn’t need for such consternation on your part, we simply disagree. No need to imply it is unfathomable how anyone could reach a conclusion other than your own, that isn’t civil and it isn’t honest debate.

I happened to be in the 30% in the eighties when my blue collar brethren we’re voting for Reagan and I happened to believe he and his ilk, after hammering away since the Great Depression and the huge resulting Republican loses for 50 years, were letting the fox into the hen-house and sowing the seeds of economic destruction and the destruction of the middle class.

The fact I’ve been vindicated 25 years later is little solace, perhaps yours will be less bittersweet after time if Republicans are successful in their boringly predictable attempts to destroy the latest Democratic President at any cost to avoid the next FDR.

She lobbied and took the money for arguably THE biggest symbol of government waste in years: the Bridge to Nowhere. I don’t think she has any moral high ground on proper governing.

Katie Couric really shouldn’t be “badgering” Our Sarah with such unfair, liberal-biased hardball questions.

She believes the public should be free of government control to the greatest extent possible, and that big government leads to oppression of freedom.

If you don’t understand that, you haven’t taken the time to understand her.

If you believe that she doesn’t read, you simply can’t be helped. Siting Peggy Noonan, who learned of Sarah Palin’s existence around the same time you did, isn’t a source; it’s an embarassment. She knows nothing more of Sarah Palin than you.

How someone can dislike someone like John Zeigler for putting a mirror up to the media, is beyond me; you must not like what you’re seeing. Speaking truth to power should always be encouraged.

Either way, Sarah Palin’s going to be around for awhile. Painting her as stupid or undereducated is laughable. Peggy Noonan’s a friggin columnist. That’s a cartoonist that can’t draw.

And it’s a good thing they asked the relatively unknown Palin all those tough questions, and were very critical of her… I mean, if they didn’t, they might have had to ask tough questions of the relatively unknown Obama, and been very critical of him! And we wouldn’t want that.
