Man Of The People: George W. Bush To Speak At $19 Motivational Seminars

No, this isn’t an Onion headline: Former President George W. Bush will be the “special guest speaker” at two motivational speaking events in Texas. The ticket price? $19 — not per person, but per office. And it appears that tickets are still available!
Bush will be speaking with Get Motivated!, a motivational event series that has also bagged speakers like Rudy Giuliani and Terry Bradshaw. His first speech will be in Fort Worth on October 26th, and his second is scheduled for December 2nd in San Antonio.
Over at Dallas News’ Trail Blazers blog, Wayne Slater writes, “The Get Motivated! business seminars are glossy affairs — sort of Babbitt meets the Super Bowl, part pep rally, part Christian revival meeting for salespeople who want to up their game.”

Here’s Rachel Maddow‘s take on her show last night:
Mediaite has contacted Get Motivated! inquiring how they got the former president to agree to speak and is awaiting their reply.
