The blogs are a funny thing. I’ve been poking around them for a few years now, and they’re certainly unique. You’ll get the people who just want to fight… the people who aren’t looking to debate, just tell you that “you’re an idiot,” and then move along. Then there are the people who really want to talk and discuss. Unfortunately, the angry posters (the shouters, the insulters, etc.), often find away to hijack a thread away from the reasonable people. Now I won’t lie, sometimes getting into one of those fights can be kind of fun… but it’s almost never productive, because neither side is really listening.

Anyway… I hope you keep on posting when you feel it appropriate, and I’ll do my best to keep an eye out for you. It’s always nice to know who the “real people” are… the people who want to talk. It makes conversing much easier. Happy weekend!

Yes, the anger concerned me during the Bush administration. I liked McCain in 2000 but because of his choice of Sara Palin in 2008 I could not have voted for him if he was the “only” candidate. I will admit that when I heard Obama’s speech at the 2004 convention I was very impressed. He got intouch with my liberal side. When he decided to run I took all of my pent up anger with the Bush administration and donated money, campaigned for Obama. I have never done that before. I did throw my entire self into the campaign. Do I like all of his policies? Not by a long shot. I have said for years that voting in most elections is like voting for the lessor of TWO evils. The thought of Palin being anywhere near the Whitehouse keep me up at night. So now I will live with that choice and hope for the best.

I would never suggest that you keep quiet. Maybe my problem is that I was taught to be respectful and try to practice that as much as possible.

Let’s move away from the, “I can’t understand how those people…” type phrases, unless you-me-we really “can’t understand” them.

Besides, look how consumed you are with MSNBC, when the layoffs are at NBC News/MSNBC. But you can’t still grasp that FACT after all this time. Besides, you are the one who flat out LIED in the first place about things.

Also, so what if MSNBC beat CNN in the “demo”. That demo doesn’t matter to Keith. He made up the 35 and under! LOL Because he kept getting his ass kicked by Nancy Grace.

Also, the only thing it shows with MSNBC coming in a pathetic lowely 2nd in the 2nd ahead of CNN is CNN has fallen even more than MSNBC. But they don’t care because they still blow away MSLSD when it comes to license fees and ad revenue. MSLSD doesn’t make very much money. Hell, Leno will make more profit for them in a a year than that whole pathetic network.

So while MSNBC is having to lay off people… and their viewership is WAY DOWN and their ad revenue is way down….. FNC (with the most balanced viewership of Democrats/Indepedents and Republicans) is having their best year ever–in terms or ratings, profitability etc.

Of course FNC is the most trusted name in news as well. Something left leaning loons can’t handle.

And yes, we all know that FNC is making a shit-ton of money off of you FNCtards, but this isn’t news. There has to be a place in which all of the racist/homophobic/illiterate/a-holes in this country can gather together and share the very few thoughts you have amongst the group – and Fox News be thy name. Why doesn’t Agent talk about the billions that GE stock has lost because of The Factor rants against its dealing with terrorists. That would make a far greater discussion.

As I said then, questioning Bush’s policies was a great thing to do. Calling him an “idiot,” didn’t really move the discussion or debate forward.

The left had a bigger case for questioning the first term of the Bush Presidency, since he was elected in 2000 by the greatest form of judicial activism we’ve seen in this country’s history.

In other words, the issue that I saw as important (no matter what the rest of the government, Supreme Court, post-election independent analysis, or the Democratic candidate, Al Gore) gave me carte blanche to say or do whatever I want. But now, I don’t see the issues that the right sees as “important,” so therefore I don’t want them saying anything. If you notice… you’re opinion sure has a lot of “you” in it… and that means double standard.

So for those of you that are in fear of Obama, use your energy to vote him out of office in 2012. Or is it easier just to moan and groan on the blogs for 4 years?

Did you use your energy in the last 8 years to complain, protest, or “moan and groan” about Bush… or did you keep silent until the election? If people don’t speak up now, things they don’t want to happen, things they believe are bad for the country, will just go on through without debate. The Presidency isn’t an ability to “do whatever you want while your in office,” you’re still beholden to the will of the people. People speaking up and protesting, are voicing their opinion… and your suggestion that they just “keep quiet” is both hypocritical and un-American (the ability to protest and peacefully debate our government is a fundamental principal of this country).

Lets put it into a persepective even YOU can understand. The Super Bowl. The game might have an average rating of 55 million people. But what do you see in the press release? Record 115 million people tuned in. That they did (for at least 5 minutes).

Also, I hope you don’t think when you see The Factor at 8:00 pm had 3.5 million viewers, you think that is all the viewers they had. That’s the AVERAGE. When in reality The Factor at 8:00 pm could have had over 5 million viewers or more.

Also, what is really funny is you could have at least came up with the CNN argument. But it shows you don’t pay attention at all to things. Why do you think CNN had their “deceptive” ads about having more viewers than FNC? Come on, think hard!

I only have one disagreement. While it’s true that Obama can be voted out of office in 2012, those of us who oppose his proposed policies should be vocal now. By that I mean contacting our representatives and letting them know what we’re unhappy about in hopes of getting support there. If we remain silent until 2012, then laws are passed that we may disagree with and we can only blame ourselves for having remained silent.
The Healthcare debate is a perfect example. I don’t think our politicians expected this subject to erupt into a firestorm. The summer of 2009 will most definitely not be remembered as the Summer of Love in the USA.
There is alot of anger in America today, ignited by the corporate bailouts and stimulus plans. Add to that, the corrupt politicians and organizations that have been exposed.

Funny how “respect for the office,” is something you guys recently found. I agree with the sentiments, but man… after all those arguments I had with people saying, “Why should I respect Bush, I didn’t vote for him!” who are now saying, “We should respect the office, if not the man,” the hypocrisy is simply stunning.

Nature says that man was made for woman and woman for man. No such “obvious fit “shall we say, for people who choose a homosexual lifestyle. That is common sense. I am not afraid of people who choose to live that way but am sensible enough not to be goaded into saying the king is wearing clothes when he is not.

Obama’s policies are the problem not his skin color. Bringing up his skin color is a convenient excuse for ignoring the facts about his agenda.

If the race card is played enough in this administration, our country will think twide about electing another person of color simply because in this administration the whiny race card seems to be pulled out at every disagreement by his “supporters”. That would be very sad indeed as we have many good, solid, conservative men and women of color who could lead this country and who I would vote for.

These people also decided we should make “Merry Christmas” illegal and replace it with the Koran and foot baths for Muslims. The ACLU with egging on from the Left also wanted to take patriotism out of schools, rid the public square of any reference to God, but allow Allah to be worshipped…..and on, and on, and on…..

That is why they have lost 3 million homes in just the last year. They were moved from basic cable lineups to higher digital tiers. They were able to move them like that because they only come in around #27 or so when it comes to most watched cable channels. So it was easy to dump them.

Remember, Keith acts like older viewers don’t matter at all. But Keith doesn’t understand how cable channels get their money.
