Wow… so your civility and maturity depends on… me? Wow! You must really think highly of me to base so much of your persona upon me… I’m honored, really. Either that, or just like your political beliefs (which lay in what other people have said and told you to believe), you pass off responsibility to someone else, instead of thinking for yourself.

I wonder… should I feel burdened to have your life in my hands like this… or just sad that you can’t think on your own. Hmmm…

Your level of respect for those who disagree with you, demonstrates exactly how “serious” of a commenter you are. If all you’ve got is hate directed at anyone who doesn’t see things “your way” (and by “your way,” I mean the way of those you allow to do your thinking for you, because it’s obvious you have no knowledge of any issue… that’s why you refrain from mentioning any actual issues… just generic garbage)… you can’t really complain that other people are “jokes.”

I can’t take people like “Sarah”, Glenn Beck, etc. seriously, they are a joke. I mean really, why bother? Beck sells fear, hysteria and a daily conspiracy theory. His motto ought to be, if you don’t pay attention to me, you will die. Palin and Beck have a knowledge base that’s a km wide and a cm deep but that is all their fans ask for. Sarah Palin is the Paris Hilton of politics and she ought to give a portion of her book royalties to John McCain and invite him over for linguini and moose balls. Having said all that I hope they both stick around for a long time because they are indeed entertaining in a Chuckles the Clown kind of way. And who doesn’t like Chuckles the Clown?!

I think her point about reading a lot on the web is valid, however. I read a lot that comes from Drudge… but (as most people know), Drudge doesn’t write the articles, he only points to various sources. If I counted all the sources as “places I read,” well, I’d have a pretty big list. Perhaps this is just part of the “new-fangled interwebs.” People don’t read from a single source, or a particular source consistently… they read around. Maybe it’s just too broad of a question to answer.

I think it is based on fear that women may realize that can have it all without
being a democrat.

I don’t want Palin to run for President, but I still wonder why she stirs up so much venom. Why hate the woman when it’s so much easier (and more healthy) to strongly disagree with her politics?

Oh, and it’s funny that she dropped the New York Times and Economist from her list this time. I wonder what hwe answer will be next time…

I don’t care what Palin reads. Or if she reads. If she had told Couric she reads the Times, Journal and Post everyday, I would have ABSOLUTELY no way to verify that information, and neither would Couric, so it’s pretty useless. Similarly, I have no idea what Barack Obama has read in the past, or what he reads now. I base my opinion on what he says and what he does.

I still laugh at the obsession over this question surmising that had Sarah answered and identified 6 or 7 sources, Katie would have said: “What? You don’t read (insert anything here).
