NY Rep. Peter King Demands FBI Investigate Whether News Of The World Hacked Into Phones Of 9/11 Victims

New York state Rep. and Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security Peter King has called on the FBI to launch an investigation into whether Rupert Murdoch‘s now-defunct New of the World hacked into the phones of 9/11 victims. In a letter addressed to FBI Director Robert Mueller, King, a Republican, wrote, given the district he represents lost over 150 constituents during the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, it is his “duty to discern every fact behind these allegations.”

He continues:

According [to] the recent reports, journalists working for the News of the World solicited a New York police officer to gain access to the content of private phone records of 9/11 victims from the days leading to the attacks. It is revolting to imagine that members of the media would seek to compromise the integrity of a public official for financial gain in the pursuit of yellow journalism. The 9/11 families have suffered egregiously, but unfortunately they remain vulnerable against such unjustifiable parasitic strains. We can spare no effort or expense in continuing our support for them.

“If these allegations are prove true,” he adds, “the conduct would merit felony charges.”

Well, well, well – just when you thoght Peter King couldn’t find another way to use the 9/11 victims. The question in itself isn’t a bad one, but King started using the 9/11 victims while their corpses were still warm.

Fox has been reporting on this all day, without attacking King or anyone else. What does Fox have to do with the paper in question, other than Murdock owns them both. Are you suggesting that Obama is responsible for the bombings in the 90s because of his fast/tight relationship with Bill Ayers? Are yo suggesting that Obama hates America because of his close and binding relationship with Rev Wright?

I thought those kinds of relationships didn’t matter? But now, you change your tune?

Maybe King will call for an investigation into the groping of regular ole US citizens by the TSA cops/pedophiles next; I would support that too. Or maybe, mediaite could report on the investigations that Issa is heading regarding gun runner/fast and furious, or the illegal fundraising activities ongoing with Team obama….nah, that would be asking too much. report a negative on the sitting manchild…never happen.
