    I do think your headline is waaay out of line.

    I have no problem with such a headline at the Onion. I assume you consider yourself to a serious journalist, even if your headlines and phraseology frequently don’t reflect that, and this should be beneath you.

    As a serious journalist I would think you really don’t want your readers coming to your story with a “what is this garbage about”?
