Chris Christie Details How ‘Riffraff’ Derailed Trump’s Transition: It Was a ‘Boatload of Sebastian Gorkas’

A new portion of Chris Christie‘s upcoming memoir is elaborating on his disapproval for the people in President Trump‘s orbit.

Axios has a report out with new excerpts from “Let Me Finish,” the autobiography from the former New Jersey governor that’ll hit the shelves later in the month. In it, Christie tears into “future federal felon Michael Flynn,” “greedy and inexperienced Scott Pruitt” and other Trump Administration “riffraff” who’ve saddled the president instead of helping him establish an actual proof of concept for governing the country.

From the book, per Axios.

He got the Apprentice show loser Omarosa Manigault in whatever Omarosa’s job purported to be. (I never could figure that one out.) … Too few Kellyanne Conways. A boatload of Sebastian Gorkas. Too few Steven Mnuchins.

The new passages seem to support other previews of Christie’s book, especially the portions where he lets loose on the “amateurs, grifters, weaklings, convicted and unconvicted felons” surrounding Trump. Christie also expands on his criticisms of Jared Kushner by saying he was among those who threw out the plans Christie drafted to help Trump govern more effectively and avoid some of the worst troubles he faced at the start of his term.

The day after Trump was elected, he was handed a detailed road map that would have avoided many of these pitfalls and launched him on a far more promising path, a plan that was fully consistent with his values, his campaign promises, and his publicly stated views.

But that plan was thrown in the trash. Literally.

All thirty binders were tossed in a Trump Tower dumpster, never to be seen again.
