Gianrico, your comments would carry more weight if you actually provided examples of the commentary you are condemning. I would invite you to provide such evidence. I’m one of the most politically informed people I know, and I DO seek out information from across the political spectrum. Rush’s frequent admonition to “bend over and grab your ankles” when discussing the latest government outrage is a comedic device, and hardly constitutes anti-gay sentiment. That’s a very simplistic and dare I say childish analysis. Again – I challenge you to provide actual EVIDENCE to support your claims that Rush is racist, sexist, homophobic or misogynist. Furthermore – if you really believe him to be so, why do you bother to listen to him ‘regularly’?

Sorry, but el Rushbo is more dangerous by pretending not to be racist, sexist, homophobic or misogynist. I listen to him regularly.His comments are both invidious and insidious in eliciting the worse baser instincts in his listeners. He is an expert in getting to the edge without overtly exposing himself. Although many times in his ranting soliloquies, his diatribes exposes his mendaciousness. His pretensions are evident from his prevarications on any given subject, especially if it involves Obama, women in position of power or gays. As well as his fixation to the allusion of grabbing his knees and bending over to take it in the arse. Hence, the bias opinions of his loyal followers are constant in defending him. They fail to inform themselves from other sources and are easily seduced by the master entertainer and manipulator, which he is. People who thinks he’s the voice of modern conservatism have never read or informed themselves as to what constitute the philsophy of consevatism.

Actually he does NOT look like that anymore, as can be seen by anyone who goes to his web site, OR I might add – to Gawker – where they’ve posted a video recording of Limbaugh in the studio making the comment about the Gawker piece. If Ms. MacNicol ever actually LISTENED to Limbaugh’s show, OR accessed the freely-available transcript of it which is posted daily at about 6PM Eastern time, maybe she wouldn’t be so surprised to hear that Rush ISN’T actually a racist, sexist homophobe, as so many on the left seem to think (clearly without ever actually listening to what he says.) We haven’t reached the apocalypse yet, although some might think so when a predominantly gay, left-leaning web site begins to agree with the voice of modern conservatism.
