Unfortunately (for them) as it stands right now, it is late on a Friday night and the HuffPo is the closest thing to a national news outlet where I see a link. I'm not seeing it on Yahoo News, cnn or msnbc.com, it's not really Drudge's kind of thing and the only mention on the Google News' front page is a link to an LATimes blog regurgitation of the blog you cite, along with the YouTube from a citizen reporter. IOW: The timing of this story doesn't appear to be favoring the affiliate. And, it should also be mentioned that though the affiliate is obviously prepared, other than an Adword link or two, I'm only seeing local advertising, so when the national traffic arrives, it can't really be properly monetized. Still, good job, indychannel. Your online editor and news division is certainly on the ball.
