Okay. I don’t see that the article was “drawing a clear analogy to her unfinished term in office as Alaskan Governor”, but regardless to that your post here is factually inaccurate. I was there and participated in the race and saw here. Additionally, co-workers of mine volunteers at the race. Sarah Palin did indeed participate in the race and went past the halfway point. There are pictures on the Tricity Herald of her in the race. She dropped out and left prior to finishing to avoid the mob at the end.

So – yes she did race, and no she did not finish. The media story is correct. I was an eye witness of that.

This is from the Tri Cities Herald:

“Palin had announced on Twitter that she would be running the 5k race organized by the Benton-Franklin Chapter of the Red Cross.She didn’t finish the race, opting to leave the course early to avoid more crowds at the end. About 40 minutes into the run, word started trickling out to people gathered at the finish line that she was gone.”

Sure sounds like she quit to me. Am I missing something? I can name plenty of other famous people who ran marathons all the way to the end. Sarah has no excuse. She is no more famous than Will Farrell or P.Diddy, who both ran marathons and finished them.
