Why would C-Span want to destroy the Healthcare Bill by exposing it to daylight before Obama has a chance to sign it? I think they are going after the huge Fox News audience.

Brian Lamb always looked like a Neo-Con Nazi to me.

None of this would be happening if people would do things in a smarter way. For almost three years, I've struggled in vain to get people to ask politicians tough questions, and I've gotten almost zero help with that. If people had followed my plan at the August townhalls the Dems would be in a less advantageous position and instead of CSPAN begging to cover things we could have a real debate about issues like this. If you don't like the current situation, ask your leaders why they didn't either promote that plan or come up with it on their own but instead encouraged people to throw tantrums like little kids.

I still say that this little incompetent will end up being an ‘administrator’ in a public school system somewhere. The media DEPENDS on the role he’s been given, and Gibbs has done nothing with it except make himself and his boss look DUMB. That’s quite a feat.

One would think that “I haven’t seen” would be Gibbs’ first reaction and then later, he’s probably going to have to adopt a “the President doesn’t run Congress, so it’ll have to be up to them”. There’s really not a lot else, he could possibly say.

As for Congress, it looks like a mixed bag; I’m sure there are those at either extreme who would like it televised as an “educational effort”, but they’re also the ones who would be most prone to pontificate. And unfortunately, the folks in the middle or the folks in charge, they are either the ones who will have to get the bill through or the ones who may come to decide that reform may be inevitable, so they may have to campaign to get something in or something out to satisfy a particular constituency.

Any way you look at it, if it is televised, it won’t be pretty and the process will undoubtedly become much longer. In other words, if Congress goes along, I wouldn’t really expect a lot else to get done.

Personally, I’m kind of intrigued by the idea and I especially like Mr. Lamb’s offer of archiving and serving it for posterity, but the posturing that’ll likely take place in the initial days are going to be messy, unless everyone realizes that this would also set a precedent.
