During a press event at T-Mobile’s headquarters, CEO John Legere stunned journalists and shareholders when he vented against the two biggest telecom companies in the country, AT&T and Verizon.
“These high and mighty duopolists that are raping you for every penny you have,” he railed. “If they could do something nice for you, they would. [But] the fuckers hate you.”
Business Insider points out that Legere is quite fond of using colorfully profane language, and once told them that he doesn’t “walk closely up against the line. I ignore it…I think employees relate to the way I speak, customers relate to exactly the way I think and talk.” And, admittedly, while millions of people probably have strong feelings against the communications megaliths, no one really expected Legere to go as far as saying, well, that.
