It worries me that in the future, more and more serious decisions will be made by people who grew up watching The West Wing.

Sad stories are not a good basis for sound policy. In fact, if what convinced you was the emotions, rather than the data, you’re promoting the bad decision that feels good over the right decision that feels bad.
