Travel Back To 2009 And Allow Rick Perry To Teach You How To Use Twitter
Howdy! Now, Herman Cain‘s campaign may be behind the political ad everyone’s talking about at the moment, but the cutest ad (you guys, it’s seriously cute, just you wait) comes courtesy of Rick Perry, from way back in 2009.

In the ad, the governor of Texas gears up for his 2010 re-election by letting his supporters know they can keep track of him using social media. And while we’re sure many will have a chuckle at just how precise and involved Perry’s instructions for using networks like Twitter happen to be (“Click on the green ‘get started,’ join button!”), it’s pretty helpful. Not everyone uses Twitter all the time! Sheesh!
Plus, the whole thing has a distinct, quirky, slightly twee vibe that’s pretty appealing (if maybe a little surprising). So, yeah: Cutely done, Governor.
