Trump Condemns Democrats Calling to Abolish ICE: ‘It Will Never Happen!’
On Saturday morning, President Donald Trump took to Twitter to release his usual weekend morning tweetstorm — this time, claiming that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is responsible for liberating towns from MS-13 and attacking the few Democrats interested in the agency’s abolishment.
“The Democrats are making a strong push to abolish ICE, one of the smartest, toughest and most spirited law enforcement groups of men and women that I have ever seen,” Trump tweeted just after 7 a.m. this morning. “I have watched ICE liberate towns from the grasp of MS-13 & clean out the toughest of situations. They are great!”

He continued by offering ICE agents a word of encouragement.
“To the great and brave men and women of ICE, do not worry or lose your spirit,” added the president. “You are doing a fantastic job of keeping us safe by eradicating the worst criminal elements. So brave! The radical left Dems want you out. Next it will be all police. Zero chance, It will never happen!”

The president’s latest pro-ICE comments come as the movement to abolish the agency have reached it’s most popular point yet. Fresh off her defeat of powerful incumbent Congressman Joseph Crowley, leftist candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — who was backed by the Democratic Socialists of America — has made abolishing ICE a chief talking point of her campaign.
Additionally, Democrat Senator Kirsten Gillibrand recently outright called for abolishing ICE — making her the first senator to do so.
