Video Captures Tea Party Congressman Joe Walsh Ranting, Raving, Screaming In Lady’s Face

video

Man, some Americans are so stupid, right! They just keep trying to blame the poor, poor banks and corporations for, y’know, stealing everyone’s money and ruining the economy! Fortunately, there are people out there who can talk some sense into these people. However, by “talk some sense” I, of course, mean “scream at them like an absolute lunatic” which is what Illinois Congressman Joe Walsh does in a video posted today to YouTube. In it, Walsh runs around a town hall in an Uno restaurant ranting and raving about people being too dumb to listen.

God, Joe. I feel ya. It must be so annoying when jerky people just refuse to listen to what you have to say.

The whole thing is a pretty embarrassing display. Our favorite moment is when he gets up in some lady’s face and she tries to stifle laughter while asking him to stop screaming at her. Classy!

A couple months ago, Walsh was quoted as saying that the media will do anything they can to protect President Obama because he’s black. After this damning piece of footage, Walsh will have to hope that the media finds some reason to protect him. Hmmm…maybe they’ll protect him because he’s a good father.

Oh, wait

    Walsh….now
here is another complete loser. That is why he is the perfect little tea party
drone. This fool is simply another tea bagger with a big mouth, attitude
problem, a low IQ and the quintessential GOP hypocrite.  He is living proof that voters are
essentially very stupid people who will cast their vote for anyone no matter

A video of that actually happening shows that she was pushed by one of the attendees, not a protester. OccupyDC is ultimately responsible, but try to be unlike teapartiers and get your facts straight.

Meanwhile, all the Dems can do re: Walsh is bring up personal matters. Some Dems might have shown how his policies are wrong, but I’m not aware of it.

In cases like the video, what’s needed is for a smart, experience person to engage those like Walsh in a real debate:

Doesn’t matter what anyone outside of Illinois’ 8th district thinks of Joe Walsh cuz you can’t do anything to keep him out of office.

That being said, he better concentrate on what they think since he won by an incredibly narrow margin in 2010.

  • http://www.davidjkramer.co.cc// DavidKramer

Did you ACTUALLY watch the video folks?

Probably not. Anyway, he was SPOT ON with all his points, like he said, he just needed more coffee to calm down.

I would rather a politician be forceful and right than sleazy and wrong. Like say Pelosi condescendingly saying they have to pass the bills to see what the effect will be.

If you have not had a chance, watch or read Atlas Shrugged. Pretty soon they will be passing laws so that no one will be allowed to manufacture more than others. They will pass laws to make everyone equal, even though we are not, so implementations will have to be applied, ushering in Harrison Bergeron.

But I am glad the leftist actually believe he is screaming, he is being forceful in his speech. I guess that is what lefties want though, wussified men like Obama riding his purple bike and giving speeches from behind his glass box of never actually getting out there with the people. We all seen how that turned out in the last election, spread the wealth etc.

Pfffft, another over blown and over covered nothing here.

By the way, tell me folks, what was the argument that he brought up? If you do not know, do bother responding to me.

Also, author, you are a liar. He never said that the banks and corporations were not stealing everyone’s money. I will be sending this article along. I think you may want to rewrite your article. Libel is still against the law, even if they are in the public sector.

  • Rio

Not true, he’s not behind in his child support payments, never has been.  Rather than going to court, Joe and ex-wife made personal agreements regarding the custodial and  financial care of the children as it changed.  He always had full custody of his eldest son with no request of childcare from ex-wife.  He later took on full custody of his youngest son without any request of childcare from ex-wife, she later felt he owed her money even though she did not have custody of any of the children.

The ex-wife’s comments regarding back child support are not accurate, perhaps lies.  Here’s a copy of last month’s court action…where Rep. Walsh is taking his ex-wife to court to straighten the mess out.  btw. he also brought along all the cancelled child support checks that his ex-wife cashed and other documents that proved his children were living with him, not her.

    http://mchenrycountyblog.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/W-2.png

  • souvien

the CDO’s…the swaps…oh yeah…the government was responsible for exponentially worsening the bad mortages…what a blowhard fucktard…pay your child support deadbeat!

  • Rio

He’s not a dead beat dad, that’s a false claim.   Copy of his latest court proceeding:

    http://mchenrycountyblog.com/2011/10/12/the-joe-walsh-child-support-defense/

This video is out because Rep Walsh posted it on his site and Think Progress pulled it and posted it.

His district is next door to mine, he’s my daughter’s congressman and, he holds town meetings like this frequently.  His constituents know him and give it right back, that’s their schtick.  If you watched the video you would have noted that the people were enjoying the exchange, and they do.  They attend his meetings knowing exactly what to expect and that’s one of the reasons they like their congressman.  These events are called “a cup of Joe with Joe,” that’s why the coffee remarks were made.

    Much ado about nothing.

  • Anonymous

Let’s not mention the fact that he is a dead-beat-dad, might ruin your narrative of what a brave man he is.

  • http://www.davidjkramer.co.cc// DavidKramer

REALLY? Can you post me some links to the court papers?

Thanks, I am SURE you will get right on that correct?

  • http://www.davidjkramer.co.cc// DavidKramer

Tell me where he told anyone to leave. Thanks.

I am sure you will get right on that, right?

The only thing Walsh was right about was the Community Reinvestment Act, which did encourage questionable mortgages. I agree with the caveat that the borrower and lender in those instances both knew the loan was questionable and likely would not get repaid. And both have an equal responsibility there. Both borrower and lender failed to exercise appropriate caution on those mortgages.

Dodd-Frank is hard to measure since the majority of it has been blocked from enactment by Walsh and his pals on the Hill.

Otherwise, he is reading talking points from the index cards. It was the lack of regulation and enforcement that allowed the banks to package and falsely label those mortgages as investment quality. It was the “private marketplace” that created all of the derivatives that took the financial system to a near collapse. It was the total  lack of regulation on the ratings agencies that allowed what were effectively worthless securities to be rated AAA. None of that was government driven and most of it should have been stopped.

Whether or not anyone likes it, the banks dug their own hole and jumped in, then came crying to government for help. So, apparently, Mr. Walsh forgets that the same government that he appears to hate saved the “private market” that he appears to love. In effect, he is ignoring the simple fact that the big banks cheated and lied and lost on their bad bets. Then they came to us to cover their losses.

And, for anyone that still wants to blame government, explain MF Global’s failure. They operated almost totally on their own, fudged the books and lost billions in bad bets, then ran and hid behind the government in bankruptcy court. Look at Olympus who hid massive losses from their own shareholders.

At the end of the day, the free marketplace should be allowed to operate fairly freely, but within reasonable regulations. That said, they should also stop running to government for help every time they mess up. And they do keep getting help. Ask the Fed. Oh, wait, they operate in secret funneling our money to the banks to lose.

Walsh needs to actually research this before he spouts off.

As far as the child support, it is simply not an issue. As far as I can tell, he did pay, but the courts failed to record it. I had the same situation here where the clerk of the courts simply did not record several years of payments. I had to get an attorney and three court orders to get it fixed, and I had proof that I paid including an affidavit from my ex.

No he wasn’t. It’s all the government and the marketplace just reacts is hogwash.

The idea that the a free market private sector will somehow regulate itself if the government just gets out of the way and abolishes all regulation is a fantasy.
We don’t need more regulation. We need supervision of existing regulations and enforcing the ones that work and make sense.

How about the American Dream Downpayment Act Bush signed in 2003, then in 2008 he signed another as he prepared to bail out the multi Billion dollar wal street gamblers.

The banks weren’t pushed into offering bad loans by regulations. They saw it as an opportunity, and bought off the regulators so they could make it happen.  They insulated themselves from the crash by getting their employees in DC to legalize the bail out.

The Teabaggers were never really about fiscal responsibility.  They were the loudest cheerleaders to Bush as he waged his wars, spent our money, and reduced taxes on billionaires.  The only reason they started calling themselves Teabaggers is because they didn’t want to be held responsible for the things they did when they called themselves Republicans.  That’s really all there is to it.

  • CosmosDan

I disagree. Originally the Tea Party was about smaller government and more fiscal responsibility, prompted by the economic crash and the bailouts. Soon, it was hijacked and used by GOP operatives as an attack on our current admin for the sake of the 2010 elections.  That was successful. Now it’s become mainly the GOP conservative base and far to much about social conservatism as well, which will lose a lot of independents. There are a lot of independents and moderates of both parties that approve of fiscal responsibility. They don’t agree with slash and burn cuts or  a ridiculous uncompromising position on taxes. They are not as easily swayed as the ultra partisan base.

  • CosmosDan

     Hey, nice comeback. Well said.

In case you missed it, I didn’t say the current admin is innocent of participating in the corruption. Replacing one brand name of corruption with another is no solution. The general public is barely talking about the real issues that need to be addressed because the general media isn’t really informing anyone. The BS partisan bickering is only a side show distraction.

I have a good friend who leans very libertarian and supports Ron Paul, but  he is smart enough to realize that we need some regulations in place. Once again, the economic fall was caused by reducing or bypassing regulations, so that a few people could make billions and screw the rest of us.
This joker in the video is the one repeating talking points and he apparently hasn’t got the intellect or temperament to have a more detailed nuanced discussion. Thank you Tea Party.

  • CosmosDan

BTW; I’ve read Atlas Shrugged. It’s fiction ya know.

  • CosmosDan

According to her, she agreed to take less than the court ordered child support because Joe plead poverty.  Then she found out he used thousands he supposedly didn’t have to fund his campaign and that pissed her off. She decided to go after him for the full court ordered amount. Maybe she’s guilty of being too gullible and easy going.  Maybe he’s guilty of lying to her so he could pay less child support.

  • CosmosDan

Maybe we need  elected officials who are able to engage in intelligent fact based discussions rather than losing it and yelling at people who are just expressing an opinion.

I can understand the frustration of being shouted down by a crowd you’re trying to have a discussion with but that’s not the case in this video.  It’s just one short clip but his grasp of reality is pretty questionable. He’s spouting libertarian talking points . It’s not the market it’s the government.

The government and the market is made up of people and IMO, the problem is we the people have been so uninvolved for so long that corruption is rampant. Financial giants have far to much influence over our elected officials and what we see and hear . Time to change it if we are willing.
