Watch: StoryCorps Animates Father’s Story Of Two Sons Who Died In Action On 9/11

StoryCorps, a non-profit organization, defines its mission statement as “provid[ing] Americans of all backgrounds and beliefs with the opportunity to record, share, and preserve the stories of our lives.” Their latest animated venture is a retelling of a story from retired firefighter John Vigiano Sr..

Vigiano’s two sons, Joe and John Jr., were a police detective and a firefighter, respectively. Both of them responded to the call on 9/11, and died while saving others in the wreckage. StoryCorps animates Vigiano’s story in a truly moving fashion.
