to Sunnyr…Get a LIFE! McCrystal was chastised by Gates (who served under Bush) for “going public.” In the Chain of Command…from the Military to everyday life…you go through the Chain of Command…NOT the media to tell the President what his personal Wish List is…No ONE has ever conquered Afghanistan….from Genghis Khan to Alexander the Great to the British to the Russians….So why does McCrystal think we can do it now? Besides, aren’t we spread too thin for being the World’s Policeman? Especially, when no else is helping out, Karzai’s brother is a major Opium smuggler and Karzai’s last “election” was rigged?

Why send our young men and women there when no one else wants to? We wasted the last 8 years in Iraq.

Ingenieux, if your only source is a web site which clearly hates Fox News, then you have no sources, and as such, you have no argument. Try a little heavy lifting. Go to the Fox News web site, go through their stories and find one with a factual mistake. If they are, as you claim, an illegitimate news organization, then this should be easy. You need to broaden your information sources. Huffington Post and Media Matters are every bit as biased and untrustworthy as Newsbusters.

There are diverse opinions among those at Fox News. Geraldo Rivera is a boot licking Obamabot and thinks everything the fool does is just great. Shep Smith is a Liberal who sides more with Obama. The “hard news” people do NOT give an opinion on anything, they just report the news. The OPINION guys like Glenn Beck and Hannity are totally opposed to the Marxist Messiah’s agenda and speak out BOLDLY about it. WTG, guys!!

For instance: He is spending 3 hours talking to far leftwing LIBERALS like Rachael Maddow and Keith Olbermann at the Whitehouse this week, but he could only spare GENERAL MCCHRYSTAL 25 minutes to talk about AFGHANISTAN!! If this isn’t gross incompetence, I don’t know what is. And furthermore, the Jihad he has waged against the Fox News Channel, the Conservative citizens of this country, and Rush Limbaugh is an ABUSE OF POWER! He’d better hope he is able to retain the HOUSE next year.

I’ve watched FNC enough to learn the following:
1. Plenty of right-leaning oppinion shows. Some so much so that they are not worth my time.
2. If I want to see a two-sided debate, FNC has an abundance of it each day.
3. If you want excellent straight news reporting, Shep Smith is your man.
4. Bill O’Reilly thinks health care reform and the public option are acceptable ideas.
5. Bill O’Reilly thinks Glenn Beck is a nut job.
6. Glenn Beck IS a nut job.
7. ‘Red Eye’ is one of the best shows on daily TV, far funnier than John Stewart or Colbert.

Some are clearly written to rankle the Administration (see, that’s my open mind at work), but others, like the link above, prove Fox can do a story that makes Obama look good.

In Response to the first post. Fox at least calls its “commentary” shows commentary! Unlike the great pretenders like “MSLSD” Or “Communist News Network” that pretend their commetary is really “news”. Anyone with half a brain knows that the 3 hour block of commentators are just that… commnetators, opinion shows… if you don’t like the opinion don’t watch. But last I checked, Until Obama burns the Constitution, we still have the right to free speech, including commentary and opinion.

Really, can you provide anything favorable about this administration nationalizing the Banking Industry, the Auto industry, the Health care industry and soon the Energy industry and our absolutely empty foreign policy? That would be “news” right there. And, buying it all with money we do not have? If you think the Repubs have hosed us, then you have to agree that the Dems have too. They all do the same thing…they do whatever it takes to get votes. If you think for one second that the Obama’s, the Rangels, the Boehners, Rahm Emanual, Nancy and Harry and all the rest think about you getting Health care or anything else but getting votes, you are from another planet. Votes are power, and right now the Dems have it. A decade ago the Repubs had it. Before that the Dems again. There is NO change you can believe in. Start thinking for your self and then the light bulb will go on!

It would have been nice if Glynnis had pointed out the facts about the poll numbers Politico is using. I don’t think anyone in their right mind buys the WP/ABC news poll. Its a totally bogus poll. His approval ratings are significantly higher in that poll than the others. Its a total outlier poll that Politico is basing this whole poor article on.

I think the problem is that most people (including Obama) look like they dont have the guts to go on FOX and say here is where I stand, here is why and if you disagree lets have a good old fashioned barnburner debate because I know I am right.

If Obama and company cant sweep the floor in a debate with Hannity (ex construction worker) or Beck (overgrown disc jockey) then he really does have a problem.

Calling Fox “news” is like calling CNN or MSNBC “news”. It’s just one holding up a mirror to the other. Olberman and Matthews are no better than Beck or O’Reilly.

And that’s good, or else they’d be CNN/MSNBC, which will be happy to sing the praises of all of the above for you all day long. Why does a story need to be favorable to the administration in order to qualify as news? Whatever happened to speaking truth to power? Oh, that’s right, it went out of style back in January. Baaaaa.

By the way, I defy anyone to provide any example of a CNN/MSNBC “news” story that was favorable towards Bush. Or does this definition of “news” only apply when a Democrat is in office? (Next week, on Self-Answering Question Playhouse…)

You’re right, they really should get it together and start acting like a real news organization… ascribing fake racist quotes to Rush Limbaugh, pawning off fake National Guard documentation, ignoring any story that casts Obama or the left in any kind of negative light unless and until they absolutely have to (Acorn, Van Jones, etc., etc.), refusing to vet and conspiring to elect utterly unqualified presidential candidates… that sort of thing. Anyone who is not in the media or a right wing tool knows that Fox is not “news”. The talking point that Beck, Hannity, et. al. are different than Fox’s news reporting is ridiculous. Other than a few Democratic lawmakers appearing from time to time to provide “balance”, every story is reported as a criticism of the left.
