You lost me when you started championing Sarah Palin as a victim of the media. Obviously she (and her people) have used the media to put her on the map. What has come out is a host of comments and perspectives that are horrifically flawed, misinformed and (on occasion) laughable.

There isn’t much spin the media can put on some of her gaffs.

Having the main slight on your judgement as a conservative leader be challenging or questioning the quips and actions of Sarah Palin actually gives Keene more credability. Many of our conservatives seem afraid to call a duck a duck when it comes to Palin.

I will say, though, that you proved that Keene has no balls whatever, and neither does the whole movement he belongs to, otherwise you would have been tazed, shackled, and dragged away by your feet no more than 5 minutes into the encounter. Here’s hoping for better things next time!

PPS – I’m not sure where the other guy lied about you causing a disturbance, as you stood at the podium, and well… created a disturbance.

I don’t know how Press Pass applications work, but I hope Orange County Films and JZ are never given one again… well unless JZ promises to get tazed next time.

John, I find it amazing that you are so critical of the media and journalists, and PRETEND to act like one, but yet every time you have a microphone in your hand, it seems like you just showed up without prep. David Keene is a total phony and entirely what the Democrats need from the Republicans: fake Republicans that are basically power and money grabbing mediocrities and liars, willing to bend conservatism so far over the aisle that they are er, liberals in drag. EVERY criticism of John Zeigler has been a logical fallacy, ad hominem, straw man, false attribution, reducto ad absurdum and so on ad nauseum. John asked the ONLY questions worth asking and KEPT on asking them. That’s the whole point. The alternative to this is pointless behaviour. Most folks will NEVER risk losing their meaningless cosy clubby privileges, but John will…cos he has courage and honesty. Courage is THE virtue at the testing point, as C.S Lewis said thereabouts. I don’t give a damn about “nice” and “professional”..In media these days, they are often relative and junk terms.

What you have actually have at play is the “Hillary Effect”. Some of the male dominated Republican party higher ups are treating Sarah Palin the same way that Hillary Clinton was treated by the democratic party in general in 2008, and money probably is at the root, just as it was in 2008 against Hillary Clinton.

I agree with Scott Durso, and think that mearly reporting the facts would have done a bit more and probably given him more credibility.

And thank you calwatch for being honest even though you are considered the enemy by many lol. Personally all true citizens, need to realize that we are in this together, and we need to stand up for what we believe in, but in a civil and reasonable way. (Kicking illegal’s out of our country I think would be a good thing to band together in being that they essentially steal, kill, and molest all of us daily.) I usually just look at people with differing opinions as misguided or uninformed. So I try to give them the facts and ways to cross reference them. If they still disagree after that we agree to disagree but its kinda hard to disagrees with facts staring you in the face.

For the record I saw many times where John’s was technically assaulted in that video, and I didn’t see him assault anyone. No matter if he was on private property or not I believe in the state of California you are not allowed to use more force than is being use on you. Just food for though.

As for the Sarah Palin defense you have taken, I think you have done all that can be done to help her image. She will likely have to stay below radar for now since the general public is so clearly tired of hearing about her, good news or bad. So perhaps your attention can be devoted to other problems like this David Keene episode without having to link it so heavily to Sarah Palin. I’m sure she is following through with a game plan and will come back into the picture when the time is right.

On an endnote, don’t get discouraged. I think your overall point in these stories is always appropriate and well defined. Politics can be very muddy water, even within a party one would consider themselves associated with so keep an eye open at all times.

And for the record, Ziegler managed to keep that job at KFI for a few years; he’s been able to make steady relationships personally and professionally (John Yarmuth, the aforementioned liberal that he supported, for one example), and his relegation to the “broom closet” was an overreaction by John Kobylt and the protection of Kobylt by the KFI management, who were understandably interested in protecting their top talent, but went over the top in doing so. If you ask George Noory, who was adjacent to Ziegler’s “broom closet” every night while he prepped for his own show, you’ll find that George said that John Ziegler was a class act at coming into work despite all the humiliation and still put together a 100% effort.

He can’t keep a job more than a few months. His personality is so toxic that he loses every friend he makes. His bizarre infatuation with Sarah Palin, whose stupidity is exceeded only by her lack of commitment to her elected job, is par for the course for this socially inept failure.

Because of his social ineptitude, he was relegated to broadcasting out of a broom closet while at KFI, because the station wouldn’t let him near their studio anymore. And while I couldn’t care less about David Keene one way or the other, it’s hilarious to watch Ziegler maintain that it was a “respectful” interview, when anyone watching it would obviously conclude otherwise.

Keep up the self-destruction, John! I love watching trainwrecks! But to truly fulfill your attention-seeking desires, maybe you should consider putting a boy in a balloon.

John has good points but the whole episode was cringe-inducing imo. John could have handled it with an interview (of Keene’s lame answers) and then blogging about it. After asking the question (about Fed Ex) several times and not getting an answer, well, that’s time to move on.

Unfortunately, Keene still pushes the meme that Palin “quit”, which to me is ridiculous. She resigned for a higher calling, willing to give up power. She’s not (yet) running for POTUS, she’s taking the fight to the White House RIGHT NOW, again willing to put her career on the line, because we can’t wait until 2012 or even 2010 – we need to take the fight to DC RIGHT NOW ! and that she is doing.
