Mr. Beck’s example of the U.S. being like the Amish in comparison to Dubai is interesting. Obviously Mr. Beck knows very little about the Amish. Their simple lifestyles and mode of transportation fools many. In some aspects the Amish are far more progressive, in comparison to main stream America. They have their own healthcare system among themselves. They have a system that takes care of people from cradle to grave, without any help from the government. They don’t have unemployment. They don’t take from the government such as, welfare, Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps, fuel assistance, reduced housing, free school lunches, grants, etc. They have been living “green” before “green’ was ever in. Their kids only go to school for eight years, yet are better educated than some high school grads.

There will be those who say they don’t pay taxes, but that is far from the truth, they pay all the taxes as the rest of America, except Social Security, which they don’t collect, either.
