Funny how you’re willing to ascribe certain things to certain people (blame Beck or a Republican/Conservative before all the facts are really known), but you want to “take it slow” in other situations (when political correctness might be to blame, or the person is in a “protected Liberal class”). Hypocrisy at it’s most obvious.

There is no doubt Hasan’s actions were unauthorized and violent and his declaration of “Allah Akbah” just before the Fort Hood shootings makes his “political aim” quite clear. This phrase has been used in connection to numerous terrorist attacks in the past and found in notes connected with the 9/11 hijackers. In particular Mohammed Atta who wrote, “Shout, ‘Allahu Akbar,’ because this strikes fear in the hearts of the non-believers.”

So your paragraph about the end of political correctness is incorrect. The media created this. Now, if you are an honest person, you will acknowledge that. Sadly, I do not expect an outbreak of honesty from today’s media.

As an aside, I want to make it totally clear that not all Moslems are terrorists or even radical. Most – as in 99 percent – are good folks that just want to live their lives and raise a family. Same as every other group. However, that 1 percent of Moslems wants all Americans dead. And that is the problem with the media’s backflips to excuse violence by these people.

Note that within hours of the shootings, MSNBC had a flow of psychologists offering theories as to how this was not really Hasan’s fault. Most of the media followed suit. Making excuses for the radical Moslem that killed 12 and wounded 31.

This is where the media trips over itself time and time again (pun very intended.)

This guy is a terrorist. Period. The Army let him slide on years of obvious activities because they were afraid of making Moslems angry. And the media has pushed that belief endlessly. On a global scale, Moslems get a break from the media and governments when they burn buildings and launch violent protests over some perceived insult. This is not a new thing. This has existed for decades.

Shame on Time for having zero courage and zero honesty. Their now motto should be, “Time Magazine – Afraid of the truth and willing to lie about it.”

Of course he was a terrorist. The silly hypothesis that his carefully-planned murderous rampage was a cry for help only leads me to the advice Mr. Hasan should have taken: “Physician, shoot thyself.”
