On tonight’s Hannity, the weekly “Media Mash” segment with Brent Bozell (and, tonight, with Tucker Carlson) took a look at the media bias as experienced in the past week– much of it regarding the reaction of liberal commentators to Cory Booker‘s comments on Meet the Press last Sunday. Among the loudest against Booker was Chris Matthews, who Carlson joked was a “Stalinist” and “Obama’s unpaid staffer” on cable news.

The news that the doctor that helped the CIA find Osama Bin Laden has been sentenced to decades in prison for helping America out by Pakistani authorities had Bill O’Reilly incensed today, his “Talking Points Memo” dedicated to making the point that if America doesn’t help its informants overseas, the country won’t be able count on people helping us in the War on Terror. To argue that point, Rep.s Peter King and Dennis Kucinich assessed the Obama administration’s response.

Sean Hannity has signed a new multi-year deal with Fox News, keeping him the host of Hannity. The contract puts Hannity’s presence on the network past the 20-year mark (he joined in 1996).

A Fox News spokesperson has responded to the new survey from Farleigh Dickinson University which found that Fox News viewers are the worst-informed on domestic and international current events, while NPR listeners are the best-informed, slamming the school’s “weak” academic reputation and “frivolous” polling.

This week’s “Weekdays with Bernie” segment was a little bit of everything on the difficult week the Obama administration has had, from Press Secretary Jay Carney fumbling over a question about President Obama’s support for Occupy to the White House’s response to Newark Mayor Cory Booker calling the reelection campaign against Bain “nauseating.”

One day after Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) got into some heat for telling MSNBC that presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney’s tenure with private equity firm Bain Capital consisted of “raping companies,” Fox News analyst and Catholic priest Jonathan Morris wrote that the Obama administration’s contraception mandate constitutes an “obvious raping of our First Amendment rights.”

With Facebook’s public shares declining speedily in value after the IPO last week, many investors who bought into the stock and have lost large amounts of money are wondering whether legal causes of action exist against Facebook and those who put the corporation on the market, especially given media reports that inside knowledge of the stock could have helped investors predict the fall. On Fox News today, Stuart Varney asked Judge Andrew Napolitano to assess the possibility of a successful class action lawsuit in this case, one that Napolitano predicted could be one of the biggest in history.

A new survey from Farleigh Dickinson University’s PublicMind finds that people who watch no news at all can answer more questions about international current events than people who watch cable news outlets like Fox News and MSNBC. The survey also finds that Fox News viewers are the worst-informed on domestic and international current events, while NPR listeners are the best-informed.

After doing a segment on the whole Cory Booker imbroglio, The Five turned their eyes to another Democrat with a foot in his mouth; Rep. James Clyburn who, this morning, accused Mitt Romney’s Bain Capital of “raping companies.” Eric Bolling responded that, if that were true, President Obama was “raping the American taxpayer.”

President Obama, at least in part, soured on the media in his public statements recently, telling the graduates at Barnard College that America has to overcome the challenge of a media where “good news doesn’t sell as well as bad news.” On Fox News Watch today, the panel analyzed his statements, somewhat shocked that a President most on the panel perceived to have benefitted from a media bias in 2008 would turn on the press.

The 2012 elections are not just a challenge for incumbent President Obama, but for a number of freshmen Congressmen swept into the House of Representatives by the Tea Party movement in 2010. On Fox News today, anchor Uma Pemmaraju hosted a panel featuring Tea Party Express leader Amy Kremer and Tea Party Rep. Mick Mulvaney in which they debate whether the campaign rhetoric matched the voting records of the Tea Party Republicans.

Comedian Jon Lovitz has somehow become a Fox News media darling after a comedy rant against President Obama over tax policy, and he made his way Thursday night to Hannity after appearances with Megyn Kelly and Bill O’Reilly earlier this week. Hannity thanked him for his “refreshing” honesty, asking whether he has felt a backlash and, of course, giving him a hard time for voting for President Obama the first time around. Lovitz wouldn’t say whether he has decided to, but he wasn’t particularly happy with the President’s language as of late.

Geraldo Rivera is not letting Trayvon Martin‘s wardrobe escape scrutiny as the court begins work on the George Zimmerman trial, calling his black hoodie “thug wear.” On The O’Reilly Factor last night, Rivera dismissed the THC in Martin’s bloodstream as a serious issue, but once again noted that, given his size and wardrobe, he considered it reasonable for Zimmerman to think Martin could be a criminal, something O’Reilly was quick to call profiling.

Jon Lovitz has become something of a political personality since his expletive-laden comedy rant against President Obama a few weeks back, and he still can’t quite believe the amount of feedback he has received. Lovitz appeared on America Live this afternoon to discuss his comments and explain just how people felt about them– mostly good, he explains, but being Jewish on Twitter apparently doesn’t bar people from calling you a “Nazi.”

While Glenn Beck has been keeping a comparatively low profile since his meteoric rise on Fox News in 2009, but that doesn’t mean he’s doing all that badly– in fact, he’s doing better than ever before in terms of income– and better than any other political celebrity. Forbes‘ Power 100 reveals today that, while in overall ranking including influence in the media, Beck is in 23rd place, he outshines Rush Limbaugh, Donald Trump and Alec Baldwin in the income department.

Rachel Maddow took on Fox News on Tuesday night for promoting a story about President Barack Obama having a sort of enemies list with which he’s targeted private citizens. Specifically, related to one Frank Vandersloot who’s been on Fox recently, discussing how the Obama campaign’s mention on him in a blog post has essentially smeared him, affecting his business. Vandersloot is also Mitt Romney’s national finance co-chair.

Breaking News: someone mentioned Keith Olbermann on television! This was a major development in the Olbersphere today, and Olbermann, via his Twitter account, snapped at the opportunity like a fry near the surface of the ocean tempted by the most alluring chum the anglers above could offer. Today the inadvertent target was Fox & Friends‘ Gretchen Carlson, who noted that she had been on the “Power Players” edition of Jeopardy! with Olbermann. For her high insolence, Olbermann tweeted, “that’s why they let her into Final Jeopardy as a Mercy Play.”

Larry Winget, author of Shut Up, Stop Whining, And Get A Life, appeared on Fox & Friends on Tuesday where he delivered the single least inspirational faux graduation speech you will ever hear.

This weekend, Will Ferrell made a triumphant return to the Saturday Night Live stage and brought with him his impression of former President George W. Bush which he made famous for years on the show (and even for a limited run on Broadway!). Today, on The Five, the gang talked about the sketch with everyone giving it and Ferrell high marks. However, most of them found reason to complain that SNL doesn’t seem to have nearly as much fun making fun of President Obama.

New York Post columnist Michael Goodwin appeared on Fox & Friends on Monday where he blasted Congressional Democrats for “voting to defund the New York police department” due to what he describes as a persistent narrative that the NYPD has been targeting and profiling Muslim citizens without probable cause. He says that this move by Democrats in the House runs counter to the narrative that President Barack Obama is building up ahead of the November election, which is that Democrats are tough on terrorism at home and abroad.

During Friday’s edition of Fox News’ America Live, host Megyn Kelly broke down into a giggle fit after reporting about the Houston Chronicle writer who was fired after it was revealed that she worked part-time as an “exotic dancer.”

In the days following President Obama’s same-sex marriage announcement, many conservatives have accused the President of being purely politically motivated, going so far as to call him a “flip-flopper” or even a “liar.” And, you know what? Fair enough. Hell, even hard-line liberals would admit that they believed in Obama’s “evolution” claims about as much as hard-line conservatives believe in, y’know, actual evolution. However, things took a turn for the absurd this morning when I turned on the TV and saw Karl Rove accusing Obama of using the gay marriage issue for political gain.

Yes, that Karl Rove.

Following President Obama‘s remarks about his “evolution” on gay marriage earlier Wednesday, The Five co-hosts turned the news into a requisite roundtable debate. Co-host Bob Beckel praised the president’s new stance, and others called the “evolution” a purely political move.
