Top 20 Christmas Magazine Covers of All Time

collection

Esquire, Fortune, Playboy, Vanity Fair, New York: End the War on Christmas Magazine Covers! To make a case, we’ve collected the Top 20 Christmas Magazine Covers of All Time.

Magazine Covers That Reference Other Magazine Covers

The latest issue of the UK edition of Esquire features actor/comedian Ricky Gervais shot with arrows. It’s a visual reference to the famous Muhammad Ali Esquire cover from April 1966, and that cover is, of course, a clever visual nod to the famous paintings of St. Sebastian. ASME Delivers the Big O

It’s not news anymore that Barack Obama has (unintentionally) masterminded his own sort of newspaper bailout. Newspapers across the country sold out their post-election day issues, so popular was the NYT edition that they paper is currently offering a reprint as an incentive to subscribe to the paper. Magazines covers were flooded throughout the campaign with images of our now president, sometimes in various states of undress, a number of which achieved record sales and varying degrees of notoriety. Point being! Obama is good for print.
