On Thursday morning’s Fox and Friends, co-host Gretchen Carlson took White House Press Secretary Jay Carney to task for a “Bible Blunder” while responding to a question about President Obama‘s “In God We Trust” zinger. Carney quoted the Bible as saying ““The Lord helps those who help themselves,” and while Carlson rightly points out that the phrase does not appear in the Bible, she fails to note that the White House issued a correction hours later.

President Barack Obama and former president George W. Bush spoke at the site of the 9/11 memorial, and both reached back into old texts to put into words their feelings on this very emotional day for the nation.

For the past month or so, Glenn Beck has concentrated almost exclusively on uncovering the network of progressive thinkers surrounding the White House and their policies as influenced by the insidious arch-nemesis of the program, Woodrow Wilson. Through all this—the tangled web of communist sympathizers, the informative “Founders’ Fridays” specials, the hour-long lectures on 1920s populism— it was easy to forget that Beck has his early roots in morning zoo radio. Discussing the National Day of Prayer and its detractors with Bill O’Reilly, Sarah Palin gave us her unique take on the American standard of separation of church and state. She insisted there was nothing wrong with having a national day for observing spirituality, not because there was no one religion being championed over another, but because the Founders who wrote the Constitution subscribed to Judeo-Christian beliefs, which were meant to be taken into consideration when writing laws.
