The former president was generally very supportive of the movement, however he did not seem entirely impressed with the specific message currently coming from the protestors, summing up by saying “you need to be for something, not just against something,” before drawing comparisons to both the Tea Party and the Arab Spring.

Judge solely by the amount of attention she has received this week, it’s fair to say that Tea Party darling and aspiring media figure Christine O’Donnell has been successful at promoting her new book Troublemaker. But if you draw a distinction between the quantity and quality of media attention, well then perhaps its a different story all together. This morning O’Donnell showed up on NBC’s TODAY and was fairly interrogated by Savannah Guthrie who questioned O’Donnell’s previous explanations for why exactly she walked off of the set of Piers Morgan Tonight earlier in the week.

The Rep. Anthony Weiner sexting story refuses to stop escalating to higher levels of impropriety with each passing day, and with the news last night that the Congressman had been speaking to a 17-year-old girl surfacing, calls for him to resign are at a fever pitch. On this morning’s Fox & Friends, Andrew Breitbart confirmed there was one underaged girl with which he spoke, and even before that news broke, the heads of the Democratic Party were calling for Rep. Weiner to resign.

As the Rep. Anthony Weiner saga continues, the sordid details seem to disturb Jon Stewart more and more, from the details of the sexual exchanges between the Congressman and his ladies to the many new photos. But the fact that seemed to make Stewart most nauseated of all? The fact that Rep. Weiner had to call Bill Clinton– he of the stained blue dress– to apologize for his transgressions.

While many on the left and right consider the rapid downfall of Rep. Anthony Weiner as a cautionary tale about men in power, Bill O’Reilly tonight posited that the issue is far more of a media story, since, with Rep. After yesterday’s increasingly bizarre press conference, Wolf Blitzer appeared on Piers Morgan Tonight to reflect on his interview with the congressman and how he was convinced Weiner was telling the truth about his Twitter account being hacked.

Rep. Anthony Weiner‘s admission to having lied about sending lewd photos has been received in some circles as a cause for celebration, but conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer isn’t taking a victory lap, even though he can’t see the Congressman’s career surviving today’s press conference. An exercise in restraint for Republicans, he warned, would be the only way to ensure that Democrats clean up their ranks among themselves.

Rep. Anthony Weiner bitterly joked on CNN the other day that he hopes his marriage survives its first anniversary next month. Much has happened since that joke, and with today’s revelations that Rep. Weiner might have a “sexting” problem, the odds of succeeding there dropped precipitously. At times like this, couples may turn to the person who officiated their wedding for ‘spiritual’ guidance.
