‘Victory For Abortion Factory’?: Some Of Our Favorite Headlines About Susan G. Komen Reversal

protest3

Jill Lepore had an excellent column for the New Yorker today in which she laments that the story of the Susan G. Komen Foundation and Planned Parenthood has become “obscenely, a story about partisan divisions, as if some parts of women’s bodies are Democratic and other parts are Republican.” It’s almost impossible to argue with this point but, if you needed any further proof, just look to the way certain news outlets are covering the breast cancer organization’s reversal on their previous stance. We’ve collected some of the…uh…”best.”

Fox & Friends’ ‘Top Five Turkeys Of 2011′ Segment Includes Actual Turkey, Bourbon

Given yesterday’s festivities, it was pretty easy to miss out on some of the more memorable Thanksgiving moments on cable news– most of us were trying to keep our houses in order, after all. But should you have been awake at 6 AM and watching Fox News, you’d have found the party started way early, with Breitbart.tv’s Larry O’Connor counting down the “Top Five Turkeys Of 2011,” complete with a delicious-looking turkey leg and even more appealing bottle of Wild Turkey bourbon (to drown the pain caused by Rep. Nancy Pelosi.

Undercover James O’Keefe Receives Surprisingly Warm Reception At Occupy Wall Street

Picture 3 video

The New York twittersphere blew up yesterday afternoon as rumors began to circulate that conservative filmmaker/provocateur James O’Keefe had made a landing in their midst. It took only one day for O’Keefe to release a report of what he found. Despite posing as a banker in a disguise so transparent it made Clark Kent look like Lady Gaga, the protesters were by and large friendly to O’Keefe, offering him cake, and complimenting his suit, some with the objective of luring him into some sort of anti-capitalist get-rich-quick scheme.

“Keith Olbermann” Found Shilling Maybelline Products At CPAC

Word on the street is that Keith Olbermann has a fair amount of time on his hands until he begins his new gig at Current TV. Looks like “Keith” took a break from his preparations to give an interview to Breitbart.tv’s Larry O’Connor to discuss his future, mingling with conservatives, and the new version of “Worst Persons.”

MSNBC’s Ed Schultz Is Obsessed With GOP’s Potential Impeachment Of Obama

edschultz_impeachment video

Now that the GOP has regained control of the House of Representatives, some are suggesting that the impeachment proceedings of President Obama are just around the corner (regardless of any evidence to support such a claim.) What’s more surprising is that the leading proponent of such an far-fetched narrative is none other than MSNBC’s Ed Schultz, who is nothing if not a fierce supporter of the president.

Mortal Enemies Andrew Breitbart And Media Matters’ Eric Boehlert Battle On GMA

breitbart_boehlert video

Judged purely by their back and forth on Twitter over the last six months, its safe to say that Andrew Breitbart and Eric Boehlert are not very fond of one another. In fact, it’s fair to say that they each hold the other in the lowest possible esteem. So it was with great anticipation that followers of both feisty Internet personalities tuned into Good Morning America this morning to see two debate the Shirley Sherrod controversy. Mediaite spoke to both gentlemen about the exchange.

Jimmy Kimmel Crew Uses Spotlight To Irritate Pro-Life Demonstrator

This isn’t the sort of story one comes across every day. Apparently a crew was set to tape a segment for Jimmy Kimmel Live! last week, while a pro-life group were demonstrating across the street. For reasons that remain unclear, the crew turned a hot spotlight on protester Ryan Bueler who reportedly withstood 15 minutes under the hot light. Conservative outlets have used terms like “weapons” and “assault” though some may see that as typical Internet hyperbole.

Get Rich Quick! J.D. Hayworth Once Peddled Pro-Government Grant Scheme

hayworth_grantvid video

J.D. Hayworth is a former conservative radio talk show host who is now running for U.S. Senate against Republican stalwart John McCain. On his own website, he refers to himself as the “consistent conservative” and claims “no greater danger to the security of our nation than our national debt.” Yet now it appears that Hayworth once participated in an infomercial promoting a conference designed purely for attendees to take advantage (get rich!) of government grants (quickly!) Perhaps Hayworth should rethink the moniker of “consistent conservative?”
