In the world of bizarre rap (?) feuds, there are few quite as strange as the one between Chris Brown and Red Eye ombudsman Andy Levy, which began after the latter tweeted a joke about domestic violence to the former, who was convicted of such a crime. On last night’s show, host Greg Gutfeld couldn’t resist bringing up Brown’s strange parking violation problem, for which the entire panel took Brown to task.

Chris Brown’s performance at the VMAs had everything we’ve come to expect from him, including unapologetic lip-synching and ridiculous dancing. He took the audience on a pop culture odyssey that included a cover of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” ostensibly so that he would have a reason to have dudes in plaid flannel shirts jumping around on trampolines hidden beneath the stage.

Yesterday, we brought you the story of the surprise Twitter feud between Andy Levy and R&B singer Chris Brown. Last night on Red Eye, Levy gave an apology to Brown and his fans and, maybe it’s just us, but it sounded…how do we put this?…slightly less than sincere.

Last night, Twitter proved, in hilarious form, why it has become the preferred form of communication for many in the media: it builds (and burns) bridges among celebrity worlds in ways no other medium can. Red Eye ombudsman Andy Levy has never been a stranger to the occasional Chris Brown domestic abuse taunt, but last night, he finally got the troubled R&B singer to block him, and launch an onslaught of angry tweets from enraged fans who had no idea it was common for cable news personalities to use Twitter.

It’s been about a whole month since Bill O’Reilly picked a fight with a rapper, perhaps prompted by the fact that others have picked up the mantle. Among them is Laura Ingraham, who has been doing yeoman’s work in calling out Chris Brown for his corrosive influence on American culture. He and his friends (which he apparently has) have struck back, and in response O’Reilly extended an open invitation to Brown and 50 Cent to debate their stances.

Last week, Laura Ingraham appeared on The Today Show to promote her new book, Of Thee I Zing, which deals in part on the destruction of our culture (a topic that’s been good for books for as long as there’s been culture…and books). While there, she gave a couple of examples she’d seen which included a man watching porn on an airplane (for the hundredth time, Laura, it was a long flight and I’m sorry) and the musicians that Today itself had booked for their summer concert series. A few days later, after R&B singer Chris Brown, perhaps better known for the whole brutally beating up Rihanna thing, performed on the show, Ingraham took he and Today to task which has now led to a heated Twitter fight between she, Brown, the rapper 50 Cent, and their fans.

Execs at BET are apologizing today for “human error” that led to an extremely awkward moment at the network’s BET Awards Sunday night. A music fan chosen to announce the viewer’s choice award had a moment of clear on-camera confusion, leading to a most awkward screwup, announcing the right winner, then correcting herself, naming someone else, before yet a third name was announced. The mistake, officials with the awards show explained, may have been caused by a conflict between what was written on the smartphone in the fan’s hand (taking the place of a printed envelope with a winner’s name) and what was written on the teleprompter in the hall.

It may not have been what Chris Brown had in mind, but it appears the disgraced star has finally found an ally in the celebrity world: Rosie O’Donnell, who on her radio show this week accused his detractors (and ABC host Robin Roberts) of racism for maligning his window-breaking behavior more than, she argues, the equivalent by white stars. A name notably absent from O’Donnell’s analysis? Rihanna.

The fallout from singer Chris Brown‘s violent outburst after an interview on GMA continues. First Robin Roberts explained what happened and even invited Brown to appear on the show again “because we’d love to have another chat with him.” Now it’s Brown’s turn to speak out about his behavior.

Good Morning America‘s Robin Roberts took time Wednesday morning to talk about Chris Brown, the R&B star who seemed somewhat less than thrilled with his interview with Roberts Tuesday. “I was shocked like everybody else,” she said.

Appearing on GMA–he hoped–to talk about his new CD and to perform Yeah 3X, Roberts asked about Brown’s legal problems stemming from the beating he delivered to his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

Chris Brown, who’s best know for beating up ex-girlfriend Rihanna but also raps, was a guest on Good Morning America today. He was fine talking about one of those topics, but not so much the other. According to the New York Post, the repeated questions from GMA co-host Robin Roberts about the star’s legal troubles sent him into a rage, leaving a window at GMA‘s Times Square studios smashed as Brown made his exit.

Chris Brown performed his new single, “Yeah x3″ (somewhere, Usher is so so so mad) on “SNL” tonight. The song is a dance track in the same vein as Brown’s other songs — sample lyrics include “You like to drink? Adam Lambert‘s appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America this week was canceled after concerns about “airing a similar concert [to his AMA performance] so early in the morning.”

Now news of another ABC celebrity booking comes out – ABC’s 20/20 will air a Chris Brown interview next month.

In her first interview since being beaten by then-boyfriend and fellow pop star Chris Brown, R&B singer Rihanna appeared Friday night on 20/20 to give her account of the ordeal and the aftermath to Diane Sawyer. For ABC, the returns were huge, giving the network its best ratings in that demo of the past 3 years.

Chris Brown has a new single out today, “Crawl,” which vaguely touches on his abuse of his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna. So today he’s out making the media rounds, in an interview with Angie Martinez on New York radio station Hot 97.

In much the same way his August Larry King interview didn’t help his reputation, this one isn’t going to do much for him either.

Maybe it’s the suspenders.

Or maybe it’s the fact that this snazzy 75-year old shops at Juicy Couture, but for whatever the reason, “celebrity” douchebags alike think that Larry King can save them from their swift decline into official American public scum.

When Chris Brown told Larry King that he didn’t remember brutally beating Rihanna, he seemed like a man unwilling to take any responsibility for his terrible actions.
