kirstenpowers

Democratic political analyst Kirsten Powers is not afraid to call them as she sees them, and in a Daily Beast column Wednesday afternoon, she blasted her friend (and ex-boyfriend) Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) for “sociopathic lying,” misogyny, and predatory behavior. In an interview with Mediaite, Powers gives her take on liberal suggestions that Weiner’s resignation should hinge on the disposition of Republican scandals like David Vitter‘s, and the notion that Weiner’s scandal lacks the hypocrisy of Republican sex scandals.

FBN Panel Blows Up Over Breitbart Claim That Obama Is Neglecting Alabama Tragedy

Yet the “Political Rundown,” a wacky weekly segment featuring radio personality Curtis Sliwa and political commentator Gerson Borrero seems like it would be more fitting on a morning zoo radio show than a distinguished political program. Although some of the topics discussed are local to New York, the craziness can be universally enjoyed.

Mike Huckabee Defends Michelle Obama Against Sarah Palin

Palin Huck audio

The media has made much of Sarah Palin’s none-so-subtle swipes at the First Lady’s anti-obesity measures from the last episode of her reality series (why none of this furor when Fabio came out against it?). However, Michelle Obama got an unlikely ally from Mike Huckabee who defended her against his 2012 rival. Enemy of my enemy is my friend, I suppose.

Meet The Prensa: Gerson Borrero on Univisión, Telemundo and the “Drive-By Racists” of Fox News

It started as a quiet radio talk show—a dialogue between two journalists from competing Hispanic television networks. Both were praising the way their stations had been covering the ongoing hearings of Sonia Sotomayor before the Senate Judiciary Committee. It was the usual display of Hispanic pride, respect for the accomplished judge and her mother, and [...]
