Ed Schultz, star of MSNBC’s primetime lead The Ed Show, is coming off of a year that saw his cable news fortunes rise considerably. On the strength of his years of broadcast experience, and his early catch of 2011′s populist protest wave, and a series of events that landed him in the 8pm timeslot on MSNBC, Schultz is now firmly embedded at the forefront of liberal media consciousness. In this portion of our exclusive interview, Ed discusses his views on hot-button issues like marriage equality, abortion rights, and gun control.

A few months ago, Dennis Miller offered an endorsement of Herman Cain in typical Miller fashion, asking his radio show audience if he could tell them “how jazzed I am about this guy?” However, following a number of gaffes on Cain’s part, Miller rescinded that endorsement last night on The O’Reilly Factor. He was blunter in his language this time, telling Bill O’Reilly that he was “off the Cain Train” simply because “he can’t win!”

Funny bearded dude Dennis Miller paid a visit to Fox News’ The Factor to discuss the Newsweek‘s silly Michele Bachmann cover, which frankly seems to be bothering everyone… with the exception of Bachmann herself. Miller told Bill O’Reilly that Newsweek‘s Tina Brown is a “mean girl” and that Bachmann shouldn’t trust women on the left simply because they happen to be in possession of ovaries.

By now, just about everyone’s weighed in on Ricky Gervais’ controversial Golden Globes hosting job, so tonight, Bill O’Reilly and Dennis Miller decided to join the party. And both seemed to agree: by bringing in Gervais, the Globes got exactly what they were asking for.

In a revelation that’s sure to make many liberals scratch their heads and say, “Wait, what? Conservatives have brains?”, a new study by Great Britain’s University College London has found that conservatives’ brains have larger fear centers, and smaller courage and optimism dealies. The study did not, however, address any correlation to cable news ratings.

He went one-on-one with Bill O’Reilly on a number of topics– the oil spill, the Joe Sestak job scandal, Sarah Palin‘s new neighbors– and not only managed to take a pretty hilarious stab at James Cameron, he got O’Reilly to use his best Cajun accent, too.

Bill O’Reilly had regular guest Dennis Miller on last night to discuss/celebrate the 13th anniversary of Fox News. And in what seemed a strange road analogy, Miller took predictable swipes at the cable news competition. But even stranger was that Miller also called out the extreme views of FNC hosts Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck. A vexed O’Reilly quickly defended his co-horts.
