Sarah Palin ruined Meghan McCain‘s book tour. In a piece on the Daily Beast today McCain reveals that her entire book tour to promote her memoir Dirty Sexy Politics about the 2008 campaign was “haunted” by the specter of Palin.

Move over Katrina anniversary, rallies designed to honor restoration, and oval office speeches about wars kinda sorta ending. Enter Meghan McCain’s new book Dirty Sexy Politics which ironically includes plenty of tabloid-attention-getting material and television appearances by author Meghan McCain. Take for example the following pull quote about the Palin family.

Meghan McCain‘s new book Dirty Sexy Politics is out today, and to promote its release the daughter of Senator John McCain appeared on Good Morning America to share some of the book’s dish about Sarah Palin, her daughter Bristol and even her White House visit with former first lady Laura Bush (Spoiler alert: there was no setting for her at lunch and had to leave with a doggie bag!)
