Brian Williams Stalks Jon Hamm On Late Night With Jimmy Fallon
If you turned on the television last week then you probably noticed that The Town’s press tour brought Jon Hamm on just about every single talk show imaginable. He was on the Daily Show, he talked with Bill Maher, heck, I’m pretty he sure even travelled back in time to discuss Ben Affleck’s directing style with Dick Cavett. However, it was during his appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon that we learned this disturbing secret: Brian Williams is stalking him.
Worlds Collide: Mad Men on Oprah
Ok, Oprah just got slightly cooler. Mad Men stars Jon Hamm and January Jones will be guests on her show on Monday. And, the entire episode will have a retro-chic 1960s theme to it, including a segment that sounds like Oprah’s Favorite Things: 60s edition.
Big Brother (or at least TargetSpot) Begins Tracking Responses To Audio Ads
Does advertising work? It’s an age-old question with an elusive answer. Today, TargetSpot, an internet radio advertising network, took a step toward proving its effectiveness by announcing a new system of analytics that will track the performance of audio ads online by monitoring the anticipated influx of website traffic after an internet radio spot airs. But is it accurate? And more importantly, what if the ads don’t do anything?
Meditations On the Mad Men Season Three Premiere
Yesterday I watched an advanced screener of the season three premiere of Mad Men. At this point it’s hard to imagine anyone not being aware that the show will be debuting tonight on AMC. It has officially become a cultural phenomenon. Here’s some thoughts about the premiere episode and how it might fit into the larger picture. Don’t worry hardcore fans, no spoilers here!
The Mad Men (And Women!) of Morning Joe
You’d have to be living under a rock not to know that Mad Men is debuting its hotly-anticipated third season on Sunday — and everyone’s excited. All that smoke-filled, sexed-up, whiskey-splashed glamour is enough to make one long for the heady days of the early Sixties — who knew advertising could be so compelling? We know who — the folks at Morning Joe, currently representing the most harmonious blend of advertising and editorial on the airwaves. Don Draper himself couldn’t have topped it (and he might even have switched out his whiskey for a Venti Frappucino). From there, the comparisons suddenly seemed obvious.
Better Interviews With Jon Hamm, Starting With Jimmy Fallon
Now that’s more like it! Last night Jon Hamm was a guest on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, and it was almost like they read my mind (or my post): Plenty of Mad Men talk, plus actual news in the form of a very cool video showing Hamm’s prep for the Season 3 ad where he’s sitting in an office filled with water, plus Hamm reading a “letter home” joking about fathering a child with Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Linkbait, anyone?
Jon Hamm’s Grandma Doesn’t Like Don Draper (and Conan is a Lousy Interviewer)
Did Conan miss the part where everyone is excited about Mad Men? All the reviews and previews and tie-ins excuses to write about Mad Men because people love it? Sesame Street is doing a parody this year, for God’s sake. Conan, wake up!
