Fox News’ new White House Correspondent Ed Henry spoke with Don Imus for the first time and wasn’t shy about admitting just how happy he is to be working at Fox and how amusing he finds some of the criticism. Imus teed up Henry’s response by asking “when did you come over from the dark side, CNN” and Henry didn’t disappoint by making it clear what team he is on now.

Don Imus seems as sick of this debt crisis debate as many Americans (and certainly a number of cable news personalities). He also seems apparently sick of Neil Cavuto‘s insolence, as the radio icon joined the Fox News host for a bizarre debt ceiling debate that began with Imus questioning the relationship between Rep. Ben and former Vice President Dan Quayle, had him admitting to doing “a couple of lines of cocaine,” and ended with a begrudging prediction that “[Sen.] Harry Reid and those clowns” would solve the debt problem.

As the August 2nd deadline for America to pay its bills approaches, the possibility of the nation defaulting on its debt looms ever nearer, with Republicans appearing further than ever from compromise. This morning on Imus, House Investigations leader Rep. Darrell Issa explained the frustrations in his party– Democrats appeared unwilling to agree to short-term cuts, and long-term promises, he argued, “are just crap.”

Chris Wallace spoke with Don Imus this morning and shared his thoughts on Michele Bachmann‘s headaches and the News Corp. phone hacking scandal. While Imus found some laughs in each story, Wallace said Bachmann’s migraines should not disqualify her from running for President and insisted Fox News is giving plenty of attention to the controversy with its parent company.

Sean Hannity continued venting his frustration with Bill Maher‘s most recent jokes about conservative female politicians, and hoped to find a sympathetic ear with Don Imus, someone who famously got in much trouble for his controversial comments. While Imus tended to think Maher was merely a comedian, Hannity instead thought Maher was now simply “over the line.”

Bob Schieffer joked that he was “Mr. Sunshine” in his conversation with Don Imus this morning. Schieffer was pessimistic about the ongoing debt negotiations, particularly disappointed that Republicans were wasting time and President Obama wasn’t really demonstrating much progress either.

The recent “are you a flake” question heard around the world posed by Chris Wallace to Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann was revisited by Don Imus this morning as Imus told Wallace that he thought it was actually Bachmann who treated Wallace unfairly, and not the other way around.

Media critic and journalist for The Daily Beast Howard Kurtz spoke with Don Imus this morning and continued to express his frustration with the media’s obsessive coverage of the Casey Anthony trial and verdict. Kurtz suggested it makes his “blood boil” that “basically a local crime story” was turned into a national soap opera by the media. Yet Imus humorously responded, “become a brain surgeon if you’re so unhappy with the media.”

Democratic political strategist and co-host of the new Fox News show The Five, Bob Beckel, spoke with Don Imus this morning and attempted to promote his new role. Yet he may have been a bit too blunt with his expectations, revealing that he doubts any of Glenn Beck‘s audience will stick around and watch his new show in the same time slot.

Alan Colmes appeared with Don Imus this morning to debate President Obama’s Afghanistan policy with Bernard McGuirk, yet when the topic turned to Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann, the sparks humorously began to fly. Colmes rattled off various verbal gaffes Bachmann made, to which McGuirk replied Obama has made mistakes as well. Yet Colmes emphatically highlighted the difference: “Bachmann is doing stuff today!”

Democratic political strategist Paul Begala spoke with Don Imus this morning on Fox Business Network and unsurprisingly strongly defended President Obama and mocked some of the Republican presidential candidates. Yet the most enjoyable exchange came when Begala and Imus debated whether CNN should truly be considered “the most trusted name in news.”

Now that it seems every political commentator and even presidential candidates have shared their opinion on the “epic” showdown between Chris Wallace and Jon Stewart, now it’s time for what seems likely to be the final comment on it. Responding to Stewart’s own post-debate review, Wallace thought the conversation was very good, even if Stewart remains “in denial” about his aspirations to be more than just a comedian.

Fox News’ Juan Williams spoke with Don Imus this morning and weighed in on the “fascinating” conversation between Jon Stewart and Chris Wallace over the weekend. Unlike some liberals who were laughing at Wallace, Williams unsurprisingly supported his Fox News colleague and targeted Stewart with some constructive criticism.

In the early days of the Greek tragedy now known as “Weinergate,” many wondered whether the scandalous photo tweeted from Rep. Anthony Weiner‘s account were actually of the Congressman’s genital region. While, by his own admission, the possibility that it was anyone else was slain a week ago, some still have their doubts: mainly radio host Mark Levin, who told Don Imus today that he wasn’t entirely sure the photo wasn’t of President Barack Obama.

Chris Wallace and Don Imus had a lot of fun this morning discussing Anthony Weiner’s text messages before Wallace got a bit more serious and couldn’t imagine how, or even why, Weiner would want his political career to survive this scandal. Imus weighed in too and predicted Weiner “can’t possibly survive.”

Democratic strategist James Carville spoke with Don Imus this morning about the Republican field of presidential candidates. While Imus joked he had a better chance of being President than Rick Santorum or Newt Gingrich, Carville was more interested in sharing his thoughts on Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin.

Bill O’Reilly spoke with Don Imus this morning and they discussed Glenn Beck‘s new television venture GBTV. O’Reilly said “Beck’s a genius” and that he’s going to make ten times as much money, but sincerely wondered how anyone could possibly hate Beck?

Paul Begala joined Don Imus this morning and commented on the recent troubles for Arnold Schwarzenegger and Newt Gingrich. Begala felt Schwarzenegger and his family deserved privacy, but was absolutely loving the media attention Newt received, and even offered to pay his filing fee to confirm that he would still run for President.

Whatever you think about Glenn Beck or Meghan McCain, it’d be pretty hard to find someone who thinks the Fox News host’s vomit-jokes about McCain’s skin cancer PSA was a good PR move. Even Don Imus, who considers Beck a “buddy,” said today that he would “have a word” with the guy on the subject. If they do discuss it, Beck should listen to Imus. He’s a person who knows a lot about the trouble one can get into for dissing a young woman’s personal appearance on the radio.

Radio and TV personality Don Imus has a lot on his plate right now. After 48 years of being on air, Imus’ longtime WABC radio and Fox Business Network “wingman,” Charles McCord, has decided to mosey on away. (Yeah, there are going to be cowboy mentions in this post. You’re just going to have to deal with that.) It’d be an emotional and nerve-wrecking time for anyone, but Imus also has to contend with whispers about his ratings. The Daily News, however, pointed out last month that that his TV numbers are “down from last year, according to Nielsen,” Imus “has remained in the ballpark with CNBC, which is Fox Business’ main rival and is available in twice as many homes.”

Red Eye host Greg Gutfeld appeared with Don Imus this morning and discussed the origin of his political leanings and how he comes up with topics for his daily late night show. Gutfeld admitted it’s likely unavoidable that he will have to talk about potential Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump since he dominates so much of the headlines, yet Gutfeld made it clear he’s not ready to take Trump seriously.

Chris Wallace, host of Fox News Sunday, spoke with Don Imus this morning in an extremely entertaining conversation where the two Fox hosts took turns insulting one another. In between the playful banter, Wallace revealed why he doesn’t want to waste any time with Donald Trump and Imus shared his uncensored thoughts about Wallace’s regular Sunday morning guests.

Glenn Beck noticed the discussion between Bill O’Reilly and Don Imus regarding Beck’s future at Fox News. Although Beck didn’t seem to mind that the two were just talking about what Beck might do in the future, he wasn’t happy that Media Matters is “spreading this one around” and is going to spin any story about him as if they “caused a victory.”

Bill O’Reilly appeared with Don Imus this morning and Imus wanted O’Reilly to weigh in on the speculation about Glenn Beck‘s television future. Imus asked the Fox star whether he expects Beck to stay at Fox, and O’Reilly didn’t seem too confident.

New Fox News correspondent John Roberts appeared with Don Imus this morning to share his views on being a new father and on the conflict in Libya. However, some of the most interesting parts were Imus trying to get Roberts to reveal his true thoughts about his former employer, CNN, and Roberts opening up about his awkward on-air moment scolding his American Morning co-host.
