Did Marriott Hotels Cut Their On Demand Porn To Help Mitt Romney’s Election Bid?

Mitt-Romney-Mormon Online

Motel 6 may promise to “leave the light on for you,” but how many hotels will willingly give up porn for you? Evidently, that’s just what Marriott Hotels did for Mitt Romney following years of criticism the former (And future?) presidential hopeful faced for being on the hotel chain’s board.

‘If Not Obama…?’ – Keith Olbermann Discusses George Soros Meeting with Sam Stein

ObamaSoros

Wow, that didn’t take long.

Minutes after we predicted that George Soroscomments at a meeting with progressive donors would fuel speculation about a 2012 Democratic primary challenge to President Obama, Countdown host Keith Olbermann interviewed HuffPo’s Sam Stein, and asked him just that. While both Stein and columnist E.J. Dionne successively threw cold water on the  suggestion, Countdown’s producers labeled the segment “If Not Obama…?”

Of course, we thought Glenn Beck and company would be fanning these flames, not Olbermann. Is Keith Olbermann ready to ditch Barack Obama?

Fear not, America! Turns out Palin is only interested in running for President if the country convinces her they are willing to go rogue along with her.

Screen shot 2010-09-05 at 12.46.29 PM video

Speculation about Hillary Clinton making a run for President in 2012, which began back in July, has made it all the way to Meet the Press. This morning David Gregory asked Obama campaign strategist David Plouffe whether he thought Hillary would challenge President Obama in 2012.

Majority Of People Think Sarah Palin Lacks Ability To Be President

alg_gov-palin

On Fox News Sunday yesterday Glenn Beck told Chris Wallace that with regards to potential 2012 presidential candidates he hoped “to find one with some honor and integrity. I haven’t seen them yet, but they’ll show up.” It appears he is not alone in thinking Sarah Palin does not make the cut.

What The Left Needs Is A Sarah Palin Of Their Own

who’s responsible for Palin’s meteoric rise to the top of the media, and arguably political food chain? Jezebel founding editor Anna Holmes and Salon’s Rebecca Traister, who just published a book on the 2008 election and what it meant to American women, have penned a provocative op-ed in the New York Times today arguing that progressive leaders are as much to blame (or thank, depending) for Palin’s dominance.

Following the national hoopla over Chelsea Clinton‘s wedding two weeks ago, the chatter about Hillary Clinton‘s political future continues. The latest speculation is that President Barack Obama could name Hillary to replace Vice President Joe Biden when he runs for reelection.

Matthews: Jeb Bush In 2012? Palin Would “Drastically” Have To Change Her Image

Picture 8 video

Here’s a new entry into the GOP 2012 presidential field (and by new I mean so old he’s new again): Jeb Bush. On his show this morning Chris Matthews pondering “who might beat Barack Obama?” This of course is the question plaguing the Republican Party. For all the attention and hoopla surrounding Sarah Palin no one is really convinced that even if she could snag the Republican nomination she has any shot at beating President Obama in the general. But Jeb might.

O’Reilly Factor: Hillary Will Campaign As The Adult Who Can Fix Obama’s Messes

Picture 6 video

Last night the O’Reilly Factor picked up the Hillary Clinton for President drumbeat. In a ‘Talking Points Commentary’ Monica Crowley highlighted a list of ways Hillary could feasibly make a run for the Oval Office in 2012. Crowley thinks that among other things Hillary knows that the nation is suffering from “buyer’s remorse” when it comes to President Obama and will “want to make it up to her.”

Move Over Sarah, The ‘Hillary For President’ Drumbeat Has Begun

The rehabilitation of Hillary Clinton has been interesting to watch, and will likely get more so if this is any indication. An op-ed in today’s Wall St. Journal by Pete DuPont is making the case that Hillary Clinton could launch a formidable campaign against incumbent President Barack Obama in 2012.

White House Welcomes Sarah Palin Presidential Candidacy

Picture-71-e1278597211559

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin‘s “Mama Grizzlies” ad, and subsequent PACtivity, have pundits buzzing about a potential Palin presidential bid. At today’s White House briefing, I asked Robert Gibbs about the ad, and the prospect of a run against Palin in 2012. While Gibbs initially said the President hadn’t seen the ad, and that 2012 would “sort itself out,” he then waded back into the question before moving on, saying that this is a debate the White House is anxious to have.

SarahPalinFox

Rachel Maddow: ‘Evan Bayh Sucker Punches His Party Once Again’

Lately Congress has started to feel a bit like a game of Ten Little Indians: who’s next. Yesterday’s announcement from Indiana senator Evan Bayh (D) that he would be retiring, amazingly caught just about everyone off guard. So who did he screw more, the Democrats or the Republicans? And is this actually a first step towards a White House run?

Sarah Palin: Lucky, Savvy, Or Blessed By God?

Palin20 soundbite

Sarah Palin herself has said she is following the blueprint that God has laid down for her; her political pathway is being lit by lamps supplied by the divine. Interpreting the deity is above my pay grade, so we’re left with asking whether Palin is lucky or she is savvy” — Marc Ambinder.

Medved Worries Sarah Palin Makes FOX News Look Biased

TV Palin Fox News video

“I do think that one thing that is going to be tougher now with Sarah Palin playing such an active role [on Fox News] is the slogan ‘fair and balanced.’ What does that mean, when the two leading Republican candidates, according to polls, Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin, are both on your network regularly?”

Will Sarah Palin Go Third Party Rogue In 2012?

While the GOP lurches from here to there trying to settle on both an identity and a leader they can reasonably place their hopes (and cash) on for 2012 it looks like their most popular member may be toying with a whole other sort of going rogue: third party candidacy.

Andrew Sullivan (Officially) Leaves The Right And ‘Nutjobs’ Like Glenn Beck

Trend Alert

Andrew Sullivan is leaving the Right. Officially. Sullivan penned a longish post yesterday noting numerous reasons why he doesn’t feel he can align himself with the party anymore. Says Sullivan: “there has to come a point at which a movement or party so abandons core principles or degenerates into such a rhetorical septic system that you have to take a stand.” Also, there’s that ‘nutjob’ Glenn Beck.
