Now that CNN has officially announced Elliot Spitzer as the co-host for their upcoming 8 PM show, we can all look forward to seeing the former governor of New York fulfill the promise of his surprisingly good tenure on MSNBC. Really though, the segment we most want to see from the new program will never happen, mostly because it’s physically impossible. That segment is, of course, an interview between hard-hitting journalist Eliot Spitzer and disgraced politician Eliot Spitzer.

Earlier, we noticed that former Governor Eliot Spitzer had mounted a comeback and cracked the Power Grid’s top 5 TV Pundits, putting himself right back in the spotlight. We chalked his most recent surge in face time up to some big money real estate deals and a new scandal involving a former aide, but this explanation overlooks Spitzer’s well-paced and respectable return to form. How has he once again become a man to watch?
