A Rankled Ron Paul Grapples With Radio Caller’s Newsletter Questions

Picture-142 video

As his ascent grows increasingly questionable in light of scrutiny of his foreign policy stances and several-decade-old newsletters, it appears the questions about the latter have become inescapable for Rep. Ron Paul, even from garden variety political enthusiasts. Rep. Paul appeared today on Iowa’s WHO-AM with host Jan Mickelson and had to confront repeated questions on how it was possible for him not to know the content of his newsletter.

Fox Nation Re-Dubs President Obama’s Birthday Party A ‘Hip-Hop BBQ’ (Updated)

hiphopbbq

Riddle me this: What do you call a 50th birthday party dinner for the leader of the free world, held in the Rose Garden of the White House, and featuring musical performances by music legends like Herbie Hancock and Stevie Wonder? Well, if you’re an editor at Fox Nation, you call it a “Hip Hop [...]

Conservatives Outraged Over Harry Reid’s ‘Under God’ Pledge ‘Omission’

reid video

Conservative websites like The Blaze and Gateway Pundit (and even Fair and Balanced™ ones like Fox Nation) are working themselves into lathers of varied thickness over what they claim is Sen. Harry Reid’s (D-NV) omission of the words “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance on the Senate floor. While it is true that Reid didn’t say “under God,” he also didn’t omit it. Let’s take these folks to school right quick.

This Exists? FoxNation.com Reports On ‘Horseman of Apocalypse’ In Cairo

apocolypse video

For those troubled by the recent events that have unfolded on the streets of Cairo – who see it as evidence of a coming caliphate,or even worse, the end of days — the editors of FoxNation.com have thoughtfully published what may be video evidence of the “Fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse” appearing amidst the protests of Cairo on February 3rd. Yes, FoxNation.com is asking its readers if the following video is evidence of the end of the world.

Michael Reagan Suggests His Dad ‘Was More Of A Friend To Blacks’ Than Obama

Fox Nation Reagan

Man, there have been all sorts of great quotes coming out of the Reagan clan recently. First, Ron Reagan releases a new book that claims that his father may have been suffering from Alzheimers while in office. His brother Michael then shot back, calling Ron an “embarrassment” to the family. Now Michael is further trying to protect his dad’s name by writing an article that claims Ronald Reagan was better to blacks than Barack Obama. It’s a fun argument to make…on days that aren’t Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

FoxNation.com Reposts Anti-Obama Article From The Onion, Doesn’t Mention It’s A Joke

Screen shot 2010-11-26 at 11.29.16 AM

Most people recognize The Onion as the Peabody Award-winning satire machine that it is. Some people, however, don’t. Which is why we get a story like this every few months. Of course, it’s sometimes easy to mistake an Onion article for the real thing since the writers make sure to skew as close to their targets as possible. It also doesn’t hurt when real news outlets reprint the satirists’ work and decide not to let their readers know it’s a joke, as Fox Nation did today.

Fox Nation Takes Issue With Obama’s Praise For Sitting Bull, But Gets Facts Wrong

Sitting Bull

President Barack Obama‘s latest book is a 40-page tribute to great Americans that’s aimed at kids between four and eight years old. One of the President’s choices is apparently a controversial one, according to Fox News’ opinion site Fox Nation: Sitting Bull, who Obama calls “a Sioux medicine man who healed broken hearts and broken promises” and Fox Nation calls an “Indian chief who defeated [a] U.S. general”.

Dispatches From Fox Nation: Obama Can’t Say “Suspect”; Fox Nation Can

video

Dispatches From Fox Nation:

It’s been a while since we reported from Fox Nation, Fox News’ opinion/community website, and there’s a reason for that. The tone seems to have changed – less screaming headlines, less purposely misleading prompts to feed the hungry conservative commenters. But we had to highlight the hypocrisy there today – relating to the use of the term “suspect.”

Health Care Bill Inspires Violent And Hateful Fox Nation Comments

In Defense of Fox News’ Ambush Of “Congressman With Guts” Alan Grayson

opinion

Yesterday, Mediaite offered a sneak peek at Fox News’ Griff Jenkins ambushing controversial Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fl) outside his office. The first thing I thought when I saw this was that Grayson’s repeated demands that Jenkins make an appointment constituted some particularly weak sauce. On last night’s O’Reilly Factor, Bill O’Reilly and Jenkins called Grayson out for hiding behind his press flack, and I couldn’t agree more.

Dispatches From Fox Nation:

You kind of felt like this was coming. In the wake of Rep. Alan Grayson‘s recent comments (and subsequent apology) about a female adviser to Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke, calling her a “K Street whore,” Fox News has dispatched its Chief Ambush Correspondent Griff Jenkins to corner the controversial Dem.

Fox News Ad Battle Gets Uglier; CNN’s Rick Sanchez Called a “Sucker”

video

The Washington Post ran a full-page instigating ad in today’s paper from Fox News that asks: “How Did ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC And CNN Miss This Story?” referring to the D.C. tea party protests on 9/12.

CNN’s Rick Sanchez said “you lie!” (seriously, he said that) – since his network and all the others did cover the protests. He also played a clip of Bill O’Reilly saying CNN covered the protests. But Fox News is sticking to their guns, and WashPost is defending the ad buy. What? (Updated, with comment from FOX)

America’s Talking…And Fox News is Listening

EXCLUSIVE: In 1994, Roger Ailes created a cable news network for NBC called “America’s Talking.” When the network was replaced by MSNBC, Ailes left NBC and went on to create the Fox News Channel.

Now, in an effort to combine community elements and more, “America’s Talking” is back…and it’s in the FOX family. Here’s why, and how:
